From the outside, this place doesn't look much but is a hidden gem of Dartmouth! The bar inside was busy and we were going to sit at the far end but then they mentioned there was an upstairs and it was so lovely. We had a table booked at 5.30pm with our 11yr old son so upstairs was quieter and more suitable for us. If you dine here, I would really recommend the upstairs area. The menu was varied too with a Children's menu. I am however currently on a strict detox diet to combat a skin complaint so was a little apprehensive about asking about a variation of a salad. I needn't have worried though - they were so friendly and accommodating, went away to the chef after I said what I was unable to eat, then returned with a super option which the chef had suggested. It was a lovely presented salad and the waitresses were so lovely to me saying that it was absolutely no problem. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his mussels too and said it was a very generous portion. Outstanding service, lovely surroundings and amazing food. Thank you so much for making us welcome. We will definitely come back and next time I will hopefully get to try some dishes I was unable to have today!!

We cannot fault this place at all! Stayed here on the 30th & 31st December and it was absolutely brilliant! The rooms were immaculate and very comfortable. We dined here also on New Years Eve before attending a party and it was probably one of the best meals I've had in a long time. All the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Owner Abbey couldn't do enough for us during our stay. I would definitely recommend without a doubt!

Absolutely superb service, ambience and setting. Food was sublime, plus the quantity was extremely generous. The 4 people in our group who had steaks said they were the best steaks they'd had in a long time. Children's menu was brilliantly balanced too - 3 children who all eat different things and aged from 5-10 years were very happy with their meals, the portions for these were also very good too. Highly recommend to all - lovely pub with a really great team who made you feel welcome and really took care of you. Top notch.

Thank you Seven Stars & staff for a lovely steak tonight & for surprising me with the pub singing happy birthday to me &, for the gorgeous scoop of ice cream with a candle for me to blow out. One candle to represent one year older &, as far as numbers of age are concerned, we'll leave it at that! You were all really considerate & helpful & the food, as usual, was divine. I've been unable to come in for a while before returning tonight - but I'll certainly be in again as soon as I'm able! Thank you for rounding off my birthday in a very lovely way. Mo xx

Booked a very large table to accommodate our family of 13 for Sunday Roast. Our food all came out piping hot & plenty of it to go around and it was delicious. Excellent service, we shall return ! Thank you to all that looked after us today. (19/11/17)

Lovely evening there recently catching up with old pals, a lot smarter than when I used to go there in the eighties and the beer is better too. Well done

Lovely little pub that we stumbled upon by accident. Lovely atmosphere, food and staff. Very dog friendly too. Couldn't manage dessert there so they let us take some away. Lovely local beers too

Stayed here for a night, the room was lovely. Clean and had all the bits amd bobs to make things special. Loads of pillows! Staff were very friendly, showed us round the room and gave us suggestions of places to eat. Would recommend this place. We also had lunch there, food was very nice

I'd read about this pub on TripAdvisor after googling its sister pub/restaurant the floating bridge, which is great too, and this popped up so off we went to find it. Really lovely traditional looking pub which serves very nice, well priced food. Its up a side street just off the main stretch of Dartmouth but well worth a visit for either a drink or meal. Very friendly bar staff from our home town of Brierley Hill, Dudley.

Only went to this pub as i was told it was the oldest in Dartmouth ,I believe I was corrected on that matter, never mind, good old fashion boozer, serving a good selection of local Ales, very quiet while I was there, this maybe due to its location which is just off the main(tourists)streets,I'm not complaining on that score, Cheers,K

Had a meal here last night and the menu is everything I'd want to see from a modern pub. Excited to see pizzas and tapas bits, something different for a bite to eat when you're in Dartmouth! Lovely staff and cosy atmosphere. Great pub experience.

A great find for a birthday evening meal. Very welcoming, dog friendly and a great atmosphere. The food was outstanding, the service was fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. If I could give Seven Stars I would! Thank you all so much for a lovely evening.
