Visited in July 2022 for Tuesday Karaoke. Quality real ale. Turned out to be a brilliant night out. Go visit!
It's a historic local pub (15th century, named after Wat Tyler the unfortunate leader of the Peasant Revolt). Has been vastly improved since our last visit few years ago. The current landlord Shane is friendly, welcoming, can sing - and even used to earn a living at that! #ElvisLives😎
A long, narrow pub with traditional bar along one side. Loudspeakers have been professionally installed ready for visiting DJs to plug their equipment in at small raised area by side entrance opposite the bar, where karaokeers "perform". And most customers did.
There are tables and pews (yep, like in church!) at the front where we sat, and high stools at the bar. Four real ale pumps, three of which were on including *5.6% Theakston Old Peculier* which stuck in my mind. Didn't have that (‘Lunatic’s Broth’) though, and can't remember which of the others I had! But beer was excellent and reasonably priced. Pint of whatever I had plus single spirit and big can of coke £8.20. Shots were five for £10 and also good.
Karaoke was by Terryokey, who put on a good show that started just before eight pm.
Nice pub. Great barmaids especially Becky.
Lovely pub, hubby said guinness was good. Shout out to the barmaid who went the extra mile....
Friendly staff. Good atmosphere. Live music
Loved it. Popped it on a Saturday to a packed bar with decent band playing. Land lady very friendly. Older age group which suited me fine.
A really lovely, friendly place to visit! 👍🙂👍
Best pub about for Miles. Lines and Glass's are crystal Clean. It's a Locals Pub but one which is very Welcoming. Always has 4 Ales on and 2-3 Guest Ales. Staff are Polite and Pub is kept spotless. Land lady is Brilliant reason Pub is Very Popular.
Wonderful pub. Seems a bit out of place in a town centre high street as its a throwback to old fashioned boozers that have karaoke, Cheap drinks and that 'local' feel. Always welcoming with a friendly atmosphere
Just popped in for a quick one on my way home. Proper old type pub, will definitely visit again on a weekend when busier.
Five stars because my favourite beer is always here. Theakstons Old peculiar. They look after the beers very well. Friendly staff. Traditional pub look with original features.
Nice local pub in Dartford. The land lord and land lady are very friendly, make you feel very welcome.
Prices are very cheap. They have a large range of spirits, beers and lagers.
Want a traditional English pub? Look no further. Good company, excellent prices, very friendly staff, well placed to wind down after yer retail therapy in Dartford or Bluewater.
This is what a true local pub is about. no frills just real people and good beer at really good prices. you wont get a better pint of Old Pec at such a good price.
Usually pop in for a beer or two when in Dartford.
Like the unchanged atmosphere of a "pub".
Not very roomy but not overcrowded and clientelle are mostly regular and friendly.
Staff very welcoming especially bar lady Sara and the cook Adam who came out to see how we wanted our eggs cooked and steak definitely go back
Great pub. Great atmosphere.
Good place to have a drink. Good beers. Friendly staff.
