The food was absolutely marvellous! The menu offered a wide variety of authentic Indian dishes but I couldn't resist trying their most popular curry and it did not disappoint. Not only was the food delicious, but the presentation was also top-notch.

A Timeless Delight at Kent Curry House
If you're seeking a culinary experience that combines tradition, history, and delectable flavors, look no further than Kent Curry House. Nestled in the heart of town, this establishment has been enchanting taste buds since its opening in 1977. I recently had the pleasure of indulging in their renowned Chicken Zamdani and Peshwari Naan, and I must say, it was an unforgettable gastronomic journey.
The Chicken Zamdani at Kent Curry House instantly transported me to the flavors of the Indian subcontinent. The dish was a remarkable blend of tender chicken pieces, lovingly marinated in a secret combination of spices that rendered each bite a true delight. The rich, aromatic gravy boasted a perfect balance of tanginess and heat, leaving a lingering explosion of flavors on my palate. It was evident that the chefs at Kent Curry House take immense pride in their recipes, as every element of the Chicken Zamdani showcased their expertise.
To complement the exquisite main course, I couldn't resist ordering the Peshwari Naan. This traditional bread, generously loaded with a sweet and nutty filling, was a revelation. Each bite revealed a play of textures, from the soft, pillowy naan to the satisfying crunch of the roasted nuts. Its subtle sweetness beautifully contrasted the spiciness of the Chicken Zamdani, creating a harmonious combination that tingled my taste buds.
Kent Curry House’s rich history is palpable through its authentic dishes, having stood the test of time for over four decades. With each visit, one can't help but appreciate the dedication and pride put into every meal. The attentive staff adds to the overall experience, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
In conclusion, my dining experience at Kent Curry House was nothing short of delightful. The Chicken Zamdani and Peshwari Naan took me on a culinary journey, showcasing the flavors and traditions of Indian cuisine. If you're looking for a taste of history and remarkable flavors, Kent Curry House is a must-visit destination.
Always great, been going years and have never had a bad time or meal, and the staff are always decent
I like this place and have been coming here for years with family. It's local to me, great customer service, affordable and most importantly the food taste great. Love it.
Love the food from here always fresh and so tasty
I went here a few weeks ago and the food was at best average. But we gave it another go and we all agreed that the food was good. Apparently the same chef, (we asked) so will go there again. I had chicken jalfreizi. My friend had chicken vindaloo which was very spicy
Lovely food and service Compliments to the chef.
Im really fussy but I do have to compliment the chefs our take out was amazing. Thank to all the staff at Kent Curry really appreciate yur hard work pleasing our taste buds. 🙂👍
I have great experience with the staff member.
And the food is very delicious.
Always the best currys and great service! I also got extra chocolate at the end of the bill 🤣
My first visit to one of the longest established Indian restaurants in the area in quite a while confirmed why it is still here after 50+ years. My Sunday lunchtime banquet was an absolute delight. I was sad when the Shaad in Hextable was closed (and subsequently demolished), but regulars from there should consider popping over to Dartford and checking out one of the elder statesmen amongst the local curry emporiums. It'll be a pleasant surprise.
Great food, friendly service. My regular for Indian food.
We had a meal here a couple of weeks ago. My partner had been here before and recommend it.
It's very much a traditional curry house in the style of the ones I grew up visiting in the 70's and 80's. The food was nice and tasty and reasonably priced. Never mind the decor was a bit worn , just adds to the atmosphere.
Great curry experience. Looking forward to our next visit.
