A very lovely pub.
Friendly and helpful staff and the food was excellent.
I think I’ve found a new favourite.
Perfect little pub for a cosy drink and one of the most enjoyable roast dinners I’ve had. Plenty of meat, plenty of freshly cooked veg inc cauliflower cheese (yum) and fantastic roast potatoes. Oh and the Yorkshires…. HUGE!
We were told about this pub by friends, we didn't know it even existed. We visited on a sunny midweek lunchtime when it was not too busy but we were still able to get a good feel for the place. It is in truth a nice friendly village pub with a good selection of draught beers and delicious pub food o
We stopped here as an alternative to a motorway services - and we are sure glad we did!
The food was great (scampi, chips and mushy peas) with a special shout out to the chips which were brilliant! The drinks were good and the staff were lovely - definitely would recommend and will stop here if pass

Absolutely spot on Sunday lunch (particularly the lamb shank) and very friendly staff. 10/10 on all fronts!

Most excellent food! Traditional pub an gardens with a lovely relaxed cat & dog for pampering and keeping kids entertained.
My search for a good roast potato is over!
Our roast dinner was one of the best I can remember, and good value. Great service too - a friendly bunch!
