I never leave reviews on pubs/restaurants/whatever but feel the need to put right a handful of negative reviews left after last night.
It's unfortunate that the negative reviewers felt the need to express their thoughts collectively and unjustly on here. Yes they were refused entry around 10pm, from in my opinion a responsible landlord aiming to keep a lid on the amount of people in a pub on a night of boxing where tensions can run high if there is no control of people entering the premises.
Sorry that this didn't fit in with your work schedule and your feelings were hurt by the landlord not rolling out the red carpet and not curtsying upon your late arrival. Get over yourselves.
To others, please ignore their snipes and come visit this pub any day of the week to experience the warm welcome and friendly atmosphere. Sunday roasts are a must as is any of the food on the menu consisting of traditional homemade pub grub. Add to this a lovely garden for all to enjoy and you have a great pub.
Come and visit this independent family run pub and make your minds up for yourselves - you won't be disappointed.
I have been going to this pub for many years and treat it as my local, even though I live in West Dartford.
The bar staff are impeccable and the owners operate a strict policy to ensure no trouble makers enter the pub or serve people who have clearly had too much drink.
I would also highly recommend the food made on the premises and the Sunday lunch is a great way to end the weekend.
Can't fault this pub. Service impeccable and food is the best by miles ! Would recommend it to everybody to give this pub a try.

The rose has an amazing garden it's great for the long summer days. I also have dinner here as often as I can as the home made food is to die for !!

The rose is a lovely family friendly pub. Always enjoy spending summer afternoons lunching in their lovely garden! Food is always hand made and amazing!! Love love love xx
A wonderful pub with a friendly family welcome attitude. The garden is beautifully kept, great selection of wholesome home-cooked meals with extremely accommodating landlords, which is great when you have a child with particular tastes! One of the last great pubs left around Dartford and as a result of its success it can get busy. Keep up the good work Shaun & Angie.

Delicious food, lovely staff and gorgeous location. This is a surprising gem, and within very close walking distance to the station and the orchard theatre. Would recommend this charming pub and will definitely be coming back again.
The food and service were excellent. Staff very accommodating, even offering low fat dressing to accommodate for slimming world. Garden is enclosed and very peaceful. Good quality at very reasonable price.
It's a lovely pub with good selection of drinks, pool tables & lovely large back garden. I & mate had a wonderful evening. If I only known they served food we would have some food. I do recommend this pud for those whom what a wonderful, relaxing experience & also family friendly.
Best Sunday Roast in Dartford, very large portion and home cooking to perfection.
Delivered hot and potatoes still crispy .

Definitely worthy of a visit.
My daughter had her 50th birthday party here. We had delicious snacks which were replenished all afternoon.
We were placed in the covered and heated garden room, and spilt out ino the garden.
The children loved playing in the garden too.
The staff were really helpful when I asked for a place to park my mobility scooter, and helped me go through the pub, which
has a couple of high steps, so it would be fine for people with limited mobility, but not suitable for a wheelchair.
Nice pub, pool tables are not great but still playable , dart boards available and a good pint poured well by friendly bar staff, no agg and a nice garden to enjoy your cold pint
First time visiting this pub yesterday & what a little gem this pub is lovely garden area & friendly staff will definitely be visiting again soon
Food and staff were lovely. The one downside was that I thought the car park was part of the pub and I got a parking fine. Might be an idea to have a notice in the pub about paying for parking
First time at the Rose today for my mums birthday. There were 10 of us so quite a big table to serve.
When we arrived the staff were very attentive and friendly which gave the pub a lovely atmosphere.
I had heard that the food was good but it was absolutely delicious! The starter of Tempura cod was very tasty and the Roast dinner exceeded all our expectations 😋. Would thoroughly recommend it and thank you to all the staff for looking after us and making it a very special occasion.😊
I have lived in the area for over 20 years and never been in the "Rose".
I had a family dinner today 😋 and it was very nice. Nice pub friendly and has a very nice pub garden. This place was recommended to us .
10/10 thank you be back soon for a drink night out.
