Great little pub with a relaxed atmosphere
Drinks all reasonably priced. Nice interior and a great place to eat also. This pub has 2 floors and clean toilets. A great place to meet people. We stopped of here between changing busses on route to barnard castle from middlesbrough

The staff is very friendly and efficient during our visit...one of the nicest and clean pubs!! Location is very central near the town center not far from the shops and market place... very popular 👌 place in the evening
Lovely pub. Watched the Lionesses in the cup final here. Lots of people, quick service, clean and friendly. We had the all day brunch. There's a superb selection of flavoured Gins & Vodkas, plus cider and beer.
never have an issue with going here even though my wife is in a wheelchair really friendly and helpful staff , very clean and friendly put prefer coming to this pub than the tanners hall one near the gala bingo hall more spacious and also you have more room on the ground floor level to move around a
Place was absolutely buzzing for a Saturday afternoon. Extremely busy and lucky to get seats. Able to order to table from app was good and prices as cheap as what you'll get in thr town. Guinness was really good.
Husband has sausage chips n beans n served chicken gravy. It was AWFUL. I HAD BURGER equally dry and served within 5 mins think maybe pre cooked then reheated. No flavour whatsoever. Large female barmaid coudnt careless. Didn't offer solution. Not good food at all. Would give a minus 5.

This was only awarded 3 stars for service because of the volume of crowds who arrived from a 60's show nearby. Otherwise, this would have been awarded 5 stars for service.
Beans on breakfast look warm but everything else was great. Male member of staff good service with a smile ☺ cheers
Great Disability access at the rear, I use the Wetherspoons app and within 5 mins drink s were brought with a smile , another 15 mins after our lunch was brought nice hot and tasty my mum likes a treat of scampi she is funny about it she likes them crispy, and everything was perfect .
Always great food and friendly staff and the prices are alot more affordable when your feeding a family of 4
