Popped in yesterday after visiting the cinema. bar man greeted us i ordered the beef n ale pie i was very disappointed at the fact that the gravy was put in the plate first then the pie and mash .it left me no choice in how much gravy i wanted i stopped eating it also nobody ask how the food was. I
First time visit and had Sunday lunch. We really enjoyed our meal , thick proper gravy , roast parsnips , Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese . 2 different meats to choose .We would have liked more veggies. But overall we loved it and will definitely return.
Nice ambience... excellent, good quantity food... Value for money great selection of drinks.. the service was great too .. can't complain...will be back

What can I say, it's your Yorkshire pub right in a middle of town. Parmo, Sunday dinner in giant Yorkshire pudding, proper door stop sandwich and everything from the grill. Vegetarian and vegan options available. If you hungry and fill for proper northern grab, it's place for you
It's good and reliable, food is nice but a tad on the expensive side. Usually has some free seats beers selection can be a bit restricting. Didn't allow pre-order for a speedy lunch which kida sucked :/

Ok pub,pretty quiet. Bar was very sticky as was the floor. Nice big glass of gin.

Fantastic food, nice staff, well presented. Me and the Mrs shared a parmesan sharing platter, no way could we finish it all but it was superb.

Nice music, friendly service and very yummy food! Had the mix grill and it was like a marathon to finish, but I wanted to finish it because it was lovely. Homemade chips on the side were very yummy
