Always wanted to go to the Wandering Duck and after a friend recommend and booked, I’ve finally been. The staff were very friendly and very helpful, the choices for gluten free was excellent and the food was so delicious. Can’t wait to go again in the near future.. Ohh definitely recommend the winter spice cocktail , it was delicious.

Visited this evening and had the tapas menu for 2. It was all absolutely delicious! Couldn't fault it at all. And the staff were lovely and friendly, too. Thoroughly recommend this place for nice food, wine and a chilled atmosphere!

I've been a few times for lunch and evening tapas I preferred the evening menu. The tapas was lovely. The staff were friendly and we weren't rushed and we got the cocktail offer. I think the negative comments are harsh, but everyone's entitled to an opinion. My advice try it for yourself and don't be put off by the comments. You won't know if you don't try

What a lovely place to eat food is great ,staff attentive with out being intrusive & background music is just that in the background so you can catch up with the gossip with out having to shout

Delicious Tapas - very good value - £19.50 for tapas for 2 & £10 for a bottle of red or white wine or a cocktail each. Staff were lovely & the place has a smashing ambience. We will be returning. Well done & thanks for a great evening.

Have always enjoyed the tapas here but tonight it was even better - cooked to perfection I know there is not alot of choice but there is enough. Staff are always courteous helpful and pleasant. Would recommend this little gem, though would always advise booking for tapas on an evening. Have not tried going at other times of day.

A lovely impromptu lunch, we hadn't reserved just walked in and luckily there was a table for 2. I had the open bacon and brie sandwich, and my friend had the eggs benedict. Was bloomin delicious 😋

The best place for brunch/lunch in Darlington. Have never had a disappointing meal here and today was no exception - steak sandwich was cooked beautifully and had great flavours, Chicken Salad was so fresh and packed full of delicious items (big juicy olives, fresh crumbly feta, beautifully spiced chicken). Service was as good as ever and can’t wait to go back.

Had lunch here, everything came hot and lots to eat. Friendly service and relaxed atmosphere . One of our meals was forgotten so came after the others, but handled professionally and reflected in the bill. Definitely recommend.

Nice little bistro style bar. Very busy when we arrived but welcomed warmly and told instantly that there was a slight wait to be served. Offered a table and order taken within 10 mins despite the wait. Food arrived very quickly and was tasty. Will return.

Gorgeous food, and super quick service. Sourdough bread is incredibly soft and freshly baked. And the mocha is a definite yes. Perfect brunch place in Darlington. Lovely staff also.

Very good food and service, the full English breakfast is a must. This occasion was made even more special by sitting on the next table to Anton and Giovanni from Strictly. What a visit!

Lovely place for breakfast or brunch. Nice atmosphere and friendly service, even though we didn't have a booking they had a free table and were more than happy for us to take it. Good quality food I would highly recommend trying this place.

I'd usually associate tapas with Spanish food or even Greek (if you're used to the other tapas restaurant in town) but this adds a little more variation to the menu which include French and Moroccan dishes as well as others while keeping the menu relatively small. The food is of really good quality. A good (but small) selection of quality beers/lagers. Pricey but worth it. I recommend the "Lucky Buddah" bottled lager.

A little bit of Shoreditch in Darlington! Great place for Sunday brunch. Popped in late morning for an avocado toast and poachie and latte. Sourdough was spot on, the whole did good brunch duty and (unlike Shoreditch) very reasonably priced. Pleasant buzzy vibe in the place from a nice Sunday clientele. If you're stuck for brunch in Darlington, don't be. Thoroughly recommend.

Tapas and cocktails. Really nice. Staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. Good is great. A simple selection of dishes actually cover quite a broad palette. All done well. Cocktails are made very well. Balanced and skilled. Even the soda and lime was good!
