Worth the trip, nice standard of fit within the restaurant and food was good quality and delivered by very efficient polite staff . Would recommend and will go back again to try another dish off the menu.
Another amazing meal this evening. Having been through the menu multiple times I order off menu and have never been disappointed. Love the atmosphere and the family feel, won't go anywhere else.
This is in my opinion the best Indian in Darlington, nothing is to much trouble, tasty, authentic, and very knowledgeable about their menu.

visited last night for a birthday meal have been a few times before but service always good and nothing too much trouble . have to say though the chicken was perfect in all dishes best we have had ! and the extra touch of cake and happy birthday sung was great !! thank you �
Everything is "Exceptional" about Akbar Dynasty! From entering the restaurant, service, food and even having the door opened for your departure! True customer service! But what I will say, is that what you go here for, is the food..and it has to be the best Indian restaurant in the North East! Go and enjoy, but make sure you book a few days in advance, or you may be disappointed! ���
Been visiting Akbar dynasty for the last 10 years 👌 the food has always been consistent never had a bad meal, all the staff are fab and nothing is ever a problem.... This is the only indien restaurant I will eat from ( and takeaway) I cant handle the disappointment , the kids love going too ☺️ Thanks shabz and Abdul and staff xx

My favourite restaurant! I love this place beats everywhere else I've been for indian food. Food is amazing, restaurant is lovely and clean and the staff are always pleasant and and polite! I always recommend to my friends as they wont be disappointed.

We visited yesterday for my birthday. It was our first visit and we were not disappointed. We had the restaurant recommended to us by several people. It was busy but the service was excellent and the food was delicious. We will definitely be back, thank you.
We had lamb after dark and lamb Korma with coconut & mushroom rice + chips. It all tasted amazing. We had to do takeaway with current situation but thank goodness they are still open. Best curry around :)

Really nice food, lots of different dishes all full of flavour. Reasonably expensive but not over priced. Portions a good size, did a half size dish for children and was more than half a dish and less than half price! Staff were very friendly and looked after us really well. Would definitely recommend.
This was one of the best Indian meals we have had. Guy in the phone was really pleasant. Delivery a little late but driver was very nice and the meal was very good. I had a byriani and the chicken was divine. Arrived hot and we all really enjoyed it.
We love going to Akbar Dynasty as a treat. The food is consistently excellent. Service is always friendly and attentive. As a rule, you won't have to wait long to be served, but at busy times it can be a longish evening. Don't let that put you off from this terrific Indian restaurant. The food is great and reasonably priced.
First time going tonight. Had a wonderful aroma the moment you step through the door. The staff are friendly. The food was beautiful. I ordered the chicken makani. I never knew cheese would go so well on a curry. For a motorway restaurant, its a decent place. Will be back for more

Really gorgeous food. Staff were attentive and although it was super busy food service was very quick, although drink service was quite slow, about 15 minutes between ordering and receiving so order drinks before you need them. Staff were very friendly and could not do enough. Would highly recommend

Lovely food, friendly staff but an hours wait for our starters! Worth the wait though in the end and the portions were huge, thankfully they were happy to box-up the left overs 'for the dog', look forward to going again.
Always enjoy a meal at the Akbar Dynasty. The atmosphere is very nice and although it's just off the A66 it's often busy at weekends so we book ahead to be sure of getting a table.
The food is lovely, the menu has the well known dishes you'd expect but with a large range of their own dishes (at least I think their own) and they are really gorgeous. I've not tried too many but the ones I've had have been delicious. Also a good range of vegetable side dishes and vegetarian options .
Staff are very professional and friendly . The only thing is the car parking can get very busy especially as they have two sittings so if the people from the 1st sitting haven't finished and the people for the 2nd turn up it can be hard to get parked.
Superb food , delicious and well presented, service was 100% even at a very busy time .

I had a takeaway and noticed a slight mistake when I returned home .
When I called them, they apologised and gave me my next order free! not only that but they were sencerely very sorry for the mistake .
They even gave us a free bottle of wine .
In my opinion the best Indian restaurant for food and service in the UK.
