Friendly, welcoming staff and so dog friendly with a doggy menu! 😊 Good, hearty pub grub at good prices with certain offers on each day. Would recommend a visit!
First time visiting this pub, and we'll definitely be back. The staff were so friendly and our food was beautiful as was our dog, Nalas'. They actually have a doggy menu of fresh food which Nala devoured. Perfect place to spend a few hours having food and drinks that you dont have to hurry home to the dog as you have them with you.
All staff were very attentive and friendly. The food was very good and reasonably priced. We didn't wait long for our food.
We enjoyed gammon steaks, rump steak and fish and chips. Followed by sweets which were all enjoyable. A good experience all round.

Family birthday celebration meal. Staff, food and location excellent for us. Staff could not have been more pleasant and attentive. Facilities for our grandchildren kept them amused, it was a very safe environment for them. Food fresh well presented and plentiful. We have no hesitation in recommending a visit to this restaurant.

If you’re looking for somewhere to stay with a Camper and enjoy Edinburgh (Edinbvrgh) then you MUST stay here.
A huge thank you to The Staff and The Old Colliery for making our stay absolutely exceptional. The staff were very welcoming when we arrived and helped by providing details of the bus numbers etc to get from the park and ride into the city centre. We then took a bus tour around the city and a tour of the castle.
The food and service in the restaurant was excellent and we would definitely enjoy staying here again. Thank you to everyone. 🤙
We stayed overnight in the car park in our motorhome, found Sam and Andrea very welcoming. Lovely meal, good value for money. Love how dog friendly they are,offering water and even a lovely dog menu. Perfect stopover for us, just 2 minutes off city bypass. Many thanks.
Such an amazing pub! We dropped in on route to Edinburgh airport and was so handy. Yummy food, great service and we were even able to take our furry guy in with us!
They had a menu of fresh food for our furry guy, the manager even allowed us to ask for a half portion knowing our little guy couldn’t manage the portion we saw come out :)
Such reasonably priced, couldn’t recommend more!

Cooked to perfection.
The Chef even went the extra mile to cook a second helping of sweet potato fries for our little Granddaughter after the kitchen had already closed.
Very dog friendly. Our 3 dogs really loved their special doggy dinners of chicken and gravy.
Very friendly helpful Staff and we were looked after very well by Alex and Andrea.
