Lovely pub, friendly owners and staff. Good atmosphere and they do takeaway food. The best fish and chips ive had in years, a clear must visit!!! Check my photos for the takeaway menu.

An absolute credit to all who work here. Staff are wonderful, warm and attentive without being intrusive and happy to accommodate our requests including taking pictures of us! Nothing was too much trouble and we felt very much welcomed. As for the food......it was fantastic . Great to have the choice of size of meals. Even the small size of fish and chips was extremely generous. For overseas visitors keen to experience true English fish and chips it's more than worth the flight/cruise etc., from anywhere. My English friends who are very "picky" fish and chips "experts" from the UK assure me of this. Thank you for a fabulous evening.

I have always had good quality food and excellent service and last night the owners went above and beyond coming to the aid of a customer, which was me, resulting in me having to go to hospital. They were truly excellent and exceptionally kind and considerate where many others would have been less inclined and is a perfect example of the excellent customer service they promote day in day out.
Great Fish & Chips. Portions are large (small is equivalent to medium elsewhere). Not to be confused with the £5 fish & chip offers elsewhere. Best Fish & Chips in the area.

Annual Beer Festival is always a great local event, friendly with good food at a reasonable price with things to do for the little ones and adorable pooches. Always a winner.
