Located in the beautiful Dalkeith country park. This lovely venue is bright and welcoming. The staff are helpful and friendly. I ordered the eggs florentine and a cappuccino for breakfast. Intact this is the only place I've had a decent coffee which is difficult, used to the best in Italy. The eggs cooked perfectly and tasty. Defo worth a visit and affordable. Then you can wonder round the shops which has a wide variety of food, items for home, clothing and lots of amazing smelling soaps

Charmant Restaurant in the middle of a big park. Beautiful place to make a stop for breakfast, lunch or dinner after walking or playing in the Park. There are a lot of possibilities to play for kids nearby the restaurant. The menue offers many different delicious dishes. The service was very friendly and quick. Highly recommended! And the coffee is fantastic!

On a beautiful sunny day in Dalkeith, my partner and I decided to take a wee wander down to The Restoration Yard for some lunch. We were greeted at the door, and despite not having a reservation, we managed to get seated outside with a beautiful view in the sunshine. We both went for the steak frites with chimichurri and we shared a mac n cheese. The steaks were cooked beautifully, the fries were lovely and crisp and well seasoned, and the mac n cheese was made with applewood I think, which I loved. If I was being picky, the mac n cheese could have used a little salt but that really is looking for flaws. We went next door for an ice cream afterwards and that was delicious too. We will be back again soon!

Had a lovely lunch here with an amazing butternut squash and chilli soup. Sat outside and it was so pretty. Staff were brilliant and friendly and attentive. Would definitely go back. We didn't book but got a table in half an hour but I would advise to book so not to get disappointed. We'll done and definitely 5 🌟

Delicious meal. Lovely staff and a beautiful light and airy restaurant for families and couples and groups. Delicious food. We will be back even though it’s the other side of the city for us.

One of the top brunch spots in Midlothian. The food was great, the setting beautiful and perfect for a wander into the country park to walk off some of your hearty meal! It does have a £3 car parking charge which is a bit annoying if you're only heading there for food but it's a small price to pay. And if you can take time to enjoy the park at the same time then it's worthwhile!

The all day breakfast (at lunchtime) was very nice but expensive for what was included. My wife had a mussel and charitso salad and said it was lovely, My real gripe thoughwas the noise. Background music isn't necessary and us having to shout over the noise of other diners took the edge off the dining experience.

Impromptu visit with my better half for brunch. Lovely building, location and decor and wasn’t overly busy when we arrived. Staff were very pleasant and attentive, had a fantastic knack of knowing when to come to the table which is an art. Menu was good but I’d have loved to have seen more options (not a deal breaker). I had the full breakfast and it was tasty, not greasy in the slightest. Not setting the world on fire but I was really happy with it. Coffee was average which was disappointing but could have been a one off. Good value and I’ll certainly be back.

We have been to the kitchen at restoration yard a few times now and we are always very impressed with the friendly service and great quality food. Today we visited on my birthday and the staff very kindly brought dessert out with a candle singing happy birthday. Thanks to our great waitress! Great experience and will be back again soon
