Really reasonable prices and a nice portion, just good pub grub. Service was good, very clean and nice outside area to drink, can't fault anything.
Stayed overnight in our motorhome. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very good evening meals for a reasonable price. Bar had a great atmosphere. Highly recommended.
Fantastic nights stay. Staff were very attentive, food was amazing, only £10 Park up with EU and flat parking on tarmac, so no mess in the motorhome. Will definitely be coming back .
A great country pub and a good stopping off point on any walk through Dale Abbey. So glad that it survives and has hardly changed since I first went there more than forty years ago. Staff and customers are all very warm and welcoming . Derbyshire as it once was. Long may it remain.
An excellent find. Very good food at reasonable prices in a quiet rural location. Not far from the M1 which is why we tried it - we meet family from Leeds half-way (we're in Worcestershire), si it's perfect. Outdoor seating with swings for children. Everyone's happy!
We had such a lovely meal for our Wedding Anniversary 😊 Steak on the mixed grill was cooked to perfection, and both our meals & desserts were great. Staff were friendly, and so nice to chat to a management couple who really care about their pub and the community - definitely worth a visit! We'll def
The Carpenters is a great pub with excellent food and a fantastic monthly classic car show.
Lovely friendly pub with good parking. Good beer and great food with more than adequate portions.
An enchanting English cosy tavern. Roaring fires and comfy nooks around the bar for privacy making it feel very homely. The meals are delectable and tasty served by one of the friendly team. This is a motor home and camper stopover so useful If you need to hook up. The pretty village Dale Abbey is
Didn't actually use the pub ... We had friends using the carpark for their motorhome and the place and outlook is lovely. It costs such a small amount and includes electric hookup.... anyone looking for hard standing it's great

Stopped in at the pub to wet the whistle and grab something to eat whilst exploring the village of Dale Abbey. The staff were very friendly and much to my relief they did offer a vegan option. A moving mountains burger, chips, beans and corn. Food was great and reasonably priced. As with many ol
Had stop over in our camper for one night , staff were very friendly and helpful, i had the mixed grill which was cooked beautifully, and the free desert for finishing it 👍lovely little local pub and dog friendly.
Found this place on Google when searching for dog friendly pubs and all I can say is ‘what a find’. Dogs were welcome inside and out and the food was superb. That was probably the best mixed grill in my whole life. Well done the Carpenters!
Stayed overnight in our motorhome, parking was £5.00 without EHU and £10 with, also had fresh water, waste dump and CDP point. The staff were very friendly and the food was very good, served quickly and hot. If in the area I would definitely visit again.
