First time of us coming here and I couldn’t thought the place the atmosphere is great, the manager and staff are very friendly we had a laugh and a good chat with the manager. Very nice staff, very kind, attentive and patient. The food was outstanding, delicious and great temperature. The rice pudding was outstanding (as good as my mum's one). The restaurant was a little cold, but nothing major. I would totally recommend this place for families, couples and anyone in the area passing by, you will be well looked after.

So...my review; On this occasion, we attended as 2 people. The service was exceptional. The food quality is even better than 5 years ago. We were well looked after. The flavour of the chicken shish, rice/bulgar, salad, and homemade sauces deserve a tip. I will be coming back again and again! The story behind the name of the restaurant is a heartwarming tale. I recommend you ask the General why it is called the General. Thanks. --------------- OLD The Generals Grill is a relatively new place. From the outside it looks appealing however they decided to stick a table of four very close to the door, there is no one to welcome you, you have to go to them which was our experience, wasn't busy at all except there was a very large family of more than 10. We sat down and given plates and cutlery along with the menus a minute or two later. 2-3 mins must have passed, and the waitress comes to ask if we are ready? We just sat down not long ago. We finally ordered the chef's special platter for 2-3 to share at £20 along with a proton of chips, which I believe was £2.50 and some drinks. Followed along closely came the bread, which was a bit hard and not soft, sauces, salad, cold meze, and drinks which came quick. The food didn't take too long either. Overall, the food was delicious, and I can't fault them on the food at all. Quality and portion along with the price were spot on! I would definitely come back to this place. If you like Turkish food or want to try gourmet burgers at a Turkish restaurant, then this place definitely requires a visit.

The staff were very attentive and very welcoming. They were lovely throughout the night and they delivered an amazing and speedy service. The food is a very reasonable price and the quality of the food was excellent. Amazing restaurant and I would recommend to anyone who was considering dinning in or taking away.
