Accurate Review..... Please take note of this review as it is comes from someone who actualy has taste! The relaxed setting and attentive service provided by Joe and his team at Don Luigi makes for a fantastic place to dine whether as a couple or with a group of friends. The decor and furnishings are simple but very typical of a restaurant that could be found tucked away in an Italien side street. I have been to many Italien restaurants in the NorthWest and consider this to be one of the best. The restaurant is always bustling and on numerous visits I have seen people queing for tables instead of going to the other Italien restaurant next door which usualy has many tables spare.....please visit, you won't regret it.
We had an excellent meal here last night. All the food was gorgeous and freshly made. The staff were brilliant and the place had a nice atmosphere. Would definitely go again

Eaten here tonight (Tuesday) , very quiet but the best Italian meal I've had in ages . King Prawn starter on our table hit the spot thanks , Meatball main amazing.
Excellent food always good, very slow took 20min to give order then over 30min till starter arived and nearly an hour for mains from empty starter plates going then had to ask for bill 4 times added another 30min, think they need an extra cook
Visited whilst working in the area, it is a lovely friendly little restaurant. The staff were welcoming and helpful. I had a gluten free pizza which was freshly cooked and very tasty.
I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into this charming little restaurant with bags of atmosphere, open views to kitchen so you can watch your food being cooked and very friendly staff. The internal decor would best be described as trying to conjure up a rustic Italian village feel, so do not expect a glitzy interior, but the food was fabulous. Vegan options (plural!) were available and exciting - and tasted great! Highly recommend this place if you are in vicinity.
Not been since Covid, however, no change in my assessment. It's 10/10 again. Delicious food, good portions, the sea bass was amazing (highly recommended). Lovely evening.

2nd time visiting since new ownership and in my opinion it is so much better than before! We are always greeted with a warm welcome. Staff are very friendly and attentive. Food is excellent, much better than than the other Italian in the village! I would certainly recommend it, you won't be disappointed.

The new owners and team are fab! We’ve supported this restaurant lot’s over the years. I really like what the new owners have done with the place and have loved every single one of our last 3 visits. We went again today. The food (3 courses) was again devine - super talented new chef who checked in on us, my son was using his finger to lick his plate 🤦♂️. The service from the owner and our waitress was attentive and amazing. What I have always loved about this place is it’s a rustic, authentic and welcoming feeling Italian restaurant that serves amazing food. The new owners have retained those long standing aspects whilst adding an extra bit of stardust of there own. Loved it tonight and the prior to occasions we have been since the new owners took over. Well done 👏.

Family meal out, all clean plates, beautiful food, excellent service (Eloise) and well priced. I had the special of mussels in a white wine cream sauce to start, would highly recommend that if you're visiting!
