Everything is best must try this place once
I visited this hotel last year along with my family from Bangalore. Hotel staff was good. Food was tasty and price was reasonable. We visited all 5 days during our stay in London. I highly recommend this hotel. More over, there is no restriction that each one must bill minimum of 20 pounds. Where as this condition applies for many of the Indian restaurant in central part of London.
On a late night I was craving some Indian food and decided to give Uber Eats a try. So ordered an Indo Egg Dosa from Chennai Dosa and waited for the food to get delivered. The estimated time was exactly accurate and I had the food in my hand at the specified time. The dosa had stuffed egg noodles in it and had the standard accompaniments such as Sambar, and the coconut and chilli chutney. It was good but, I would have liked if the Dosa was much crispier.
Today was my first visit to Chennai Dose with my wife.Had to get her as she loves south Indian food.
Great food.Love the dosa's. And the Tea is amazing.Everything for so cheap price and the quality of food is great. Would love to go back there.
Very good dosa place in Croydon. I simply love their Onion Rava Masala Dosa and sambhar followed by a filter coffee. If you love South Indian cuisine then this should be in your must visit list.
I was at Chennai Dosa in 2011 during my stay in UK and the food was really good - top quality Indian food at really inexpensive price (all one eat in £5) so much so that I went there more than once. I will recommend this place to any indian who is visiting UK to get a taste of their own cuisine.
its a decent South Indian restaurant, the rates are reasonable and the food is a great value for what you pay. Will recommend it to people but don't have any high expectation, as this is a cheap dining option.
Wonderful dosas - have been here many times! Always reminds me of my time spent in Kerala. Could eat a Masala Dosa right now!

When you've lived long enough away from home, you start looking for a piece of home. That's the heart of Chennai Dosa. The food is decent and always reminded me of a Dhasaprakash or Sangeetha's from home. The prices are nominal and everything is made fresh. Would definitely visit again if I moved back to London!

Stopped by this place yesterday for dinner and could not believe the prices. It was very reasonable and the food tasted good. On the downside, the mashed potatoes were cold and not very tasty. Best value for money restaurant I have ever been to. Would definitely go here again, later in this month.

This luxurious place is always bustling with people and we have never had to go elsewhere even then! The staff is understanding and one never has to wait once an order has been placed. I usually stick to the masala dosa which is always freshly cooked, however, their spiced potatoes have a robust mix of flavour and spices.
I must admit that the first time I went in, I wasn't used to the canteen style trays accompanied with various relishes. However, you get used to it. The prices are not expensive and I would recommend them for a nice lunch or light dinner.
You have very good staff and a really huge applaud for you guys. Despite the fact you are always full and could use more staff, you handle every customer very efficiently.
Food is good , full of flavour and reminded me of my home too.

We stopped here for a quick bite on our way back from Ikea. I was astonished by the prices and the taste. The food was brilliant. Would love to try their lunch buffet sometimes. I am definitely visiting this place again. Would recommend it to all who love Indian food.
The price of the entire menu is comparatively less. Though it cant be treated as a restaurant based on its looks, it is a good place to stop by and eat any day/time. The morning breakfast is good and is just 4£. The Biriyani that comes with the Lunch and dinner buffet is awesome.

The restaurant serves up authentic, cheap and tasty South Indian food. Some of the dishes can be quite spicy for those who have a low tolerance to chilies, but these dishes really do burst in flavour! However, I think it is fair to say that the service is disappointing: it tends to be very slow and staff seem completely disinterested in customers.
Chennai Dosa offers good food that is value for money. It's worth a visit if you are in the area and want tasty South Indian cuisine.

The name attracted me when I was craving for some idly & dosa. I was referred here by my uncle and we visited as a family, the place was located in a business district as there were a lot of offices and people rushing in and out. During our visit the restaurant was not quite there were a number of people getting takeaways.
We got a good family table and the order and service was quick, the taste and quality was good. Personally I liked their chicken dishes which had an british Indian taste which added a twang to it. The layout ad ambiance of the saturation was also acceptable.
Overall I can say that this is a worth place to try if your missing the south Indian food.

My first review of a rest in London. I had heard abt Chennai dosa from colleagues and friends for a while but never felt like going until last Sunday when me and my wife decided not to cook in house and weren't in a mood to go out far. so chennai dosa became an obvious choice due to the vicinity factor. in we went and saw the.menu. my wife had the urge to eat idly as it had been a while she had had it. so we ordered idly chkn curry. I settled for a mutton kothu paratha. why because I like it and its safe bet to order in a typical tamil nadu rest and is a wholesome meal in itself. the order came to the table sufficiently quick. only 2 idlies was a let down but accompanied by 3 v good chutnies and some chicken gravy for 1.95 wasn't a bad fare at all. the kothu parantha was tasty too a touch on the spicier side. by then my wife two other tables ordering for cholle bathura and she too felt like having it. reluctantly I ordered it arguing with her that stuff like these are better avoided at South Indian joints. but I jad to almost eat my words when it came. the batura was a large one and the chole- well lets not call it chole- it was more of channa kurma full of coconut based gravym but yummy and very filling. by the end of it we had ti ditch the plan of ordering a dosa which is what I went there to have in the first place.which makes it a very good reason to visit this place again. for the dosas. I'll probably have to add an appendix to this review when I do that but thats for later.
for now I suggest you to head here for a satisying economical snack or meal.

I heard of this place from a friend of mine . And went for it one Sunday when I had the dosa craving . let me tell you I was in. for a surprise . the assortment of dosas to chose from were so many ... I took my own sweet time ... the paneer dosa , chicken dosa were exquisite .... after that experience I have been suggesting Chennai dosa to every one ... there are other options like chana bhatura and some Punjabi dishes which are not disappointing too ... but the south indian dishes are obviously better off . I would suggest this place to any body who wants to satiate their hunger for south indian food :-)

Before reviewing the restaurant I must say something about the place where this particular branch is located-CROYDON. London is purely old world charm,driven by values and ethics and moreover tradition,and it shows in their city patterns as well..a bit monotonous but certainly charming,but croydon surprised me the first time i went there with its skyscrapers and swanky multistoreyed offices,parks,brad roads and unique high street shopping plazas..it's full of life and always a traveler's joy to discover the place..the menu offers plain and simple south Indian an some SriLankan delicacies..food is delectable,very reasonably priced an yummy..from their green chilli chutney dosa to their famous mutton kothhu parotta everything has that famous and awe-inspiring Tamilnadu taste which makes my taste buds dance in joy..and that's not all..you get taste the famous cobra beer too..trust me..dosa or kotthu or uthapa teamed with beer in the chilly London afternoon is a joy you will never find anywhere else in India..for this unique experience only,one should visit Croydon high street chennai dosa..ambience is comfy overlooking high street hustle-bustle..so why are you still waiting foodies?? I recently visited Dosa Kada Croydon and I was very impressed with the food. I ordered the cheese masala dosa, which is a thin pancake made from fermented rice and lentil batter, filled with spiced potatoes and cheese. It was served with a variety of chutneys and sambar, and it was absolutely delicious. The dosa was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the filling was flavorful and gooey. I also tried the sambar vada, which is a lentil fritter served in a lentil soup. It was also very good, and it was a nice way to start my meal. The podi dosa is a dosa topped with a spicy powder made from lentils, spices, and herbs. It was also very flavorful, and it had a nice kick to it. The nethili fish fry is a crispy fried fish dish that is served with a tangy sauce. It was also very good, and it was a nice change of pace from the other dishes I tried. The paneer 65 is a spicy and crispy dish made with paneer (cottage cheese). It was also very good, and it was a nice way to end my meal.
The service at Dosa Kada was also excellent. The staff was friendly and attentive, and they were happy to answer my questions about the menu. The atmosphere in the restaurant was clean and comfortable, and it was not too noisy or too quiet. The value for money was also very good. The prices were reasonable, and I felt like I got a lot of food for my money.

What a gem of a place. Went for a veggie buffet and it's the real deal. Dosa. Uttapam. Service excellent and very clean. Navneet was a superstar.
Went for their buffet breakfast. At £10 it was well worth it. All the food was tasty, hot and fresh. Dosa was made to order so everyone can have their favourite type.
Only a couple of waiters on the floor but Anjali was super efficient and helpful which made all the difference.

Amazing and hospitable staff who were friendly as soon as we arrived. The food was delivered promptly and the dosa in particular was crispy and tasty. Our server Venkat also provided us with our food and he too was amiable and friendly during our time at this restaurant. Would definitely recommend coming here.

Hi. Excellent customer service by the staff especially those two girls one thin and one with the glasses on. We had an issue while placing an order as it didn’t pass correctly in the kitchen and once we received the food we informed them that this is not what we have asked for and they were very kind enough to address the issue and make new food for us as per the request made by my wife.. thanks again
The food was exceptional. Kesaru and Pongal were out of the world. Breakfast buffet on the Weekends is the best value for money you will find £10 for all you can eat. Staff were very nice is general and Ms. Anjali was very polite and took every effort to suggest and keep our tummies full. Very nice of her to get the Dosa with a cocktail umbrella for my Kid. She like the taste and the presentation.
