Vegetarian Breakfast, excellent value for money. You can order via App at desk or at bar. Coffee/Tea was extra.
It's a spoons so you know what to expect. The inside decor has not changed in the last 15 years at a bare minimum but drinks prices are some of the cheapest around so you can't complain!

I always love the franchise of Wetherspoon. I was in Croydon and I had to try it. It never disappoints. Great veg wrap, the idea of bottomless coffee makes it even better.
The George-JD is beautiful with books and antique look. It's huge and therefore you have 2 counters in here.

Only Spoons left in Croydon, and hence very popular and quite busy. Nice inside layout with set-back booths either side of the main dining area, and a bar at either end of the pub. I've upgraded it to 4 stars.

If you know Wetherspoons you know what to expect. It's big and busy but has a great selection of ales, large choice of food and drink and the Chairman's ridiculous views aside, a good place to go.
This Wetherspoons had a surprisingly nice atmosphere inside. Very spacious, easily catered to our walk-in group of 16. As with all Spoons, the drink prices can't be beat!
Lovely street side pub. I stopped by for a drink so can't say much about the food. I enjoyed reading the many inscriptions on the walls.
We really liked the low key vibe and popularity of the George. All ages welcomed in the restaurant area. Vlts great deals on food and drinks. Friendly staff. Became our fav pub in Croydon. Would recommend!
No idea why people have to slag off Wetherspoons: I loved my experience here. Steak and Kidney pudding was delicious and the all-day breakfast looked good too. And there was a great selection of different beers as well, unfortunately (I had one too many, to be honest).
