Osushi is one of my greatest discovery yet. Me and my husband being big sushi lovers were looking for a decent place around the Croydon area to satisfy our never ending sushi craving. We ordered Maki Rolls and we were delighted to our senses . Sushi rolls were freshly handmade and the wasabi was just right ! Not too over powering as many of the chain sushi joints would do.

The menu is very affordable and there is a plethora of dishes you can dig into. The staff at osushi is very warm , welcoming and prompt at orders. We dint find them to be overly pushy like other sushi places we have visited around London .

This restaurant is truly a hidden gem . Do check it out for yourself !!

Really good food - was pleasantly surprised by the large choice for vegetarians. In my opinion the lighting is a bit too bright - dimming it a bit would make this a much more enjoyable experience and make it a bit more cosy. The lighting makes this whole experience feel like you are in a café rather than a restaurant.

Good meal. The maki and nigiri I had were both good and the fish seemed fresh. I had salmon nigiri, spicy salmon and a tempura and asparagus roll. Nirigiri was very small but not sure if that is normal for the area. Tempura was okay. Salad was good. Soup was good. Service was efficient.

Simply the best. Having eaten in lots of sushi place in and around London I can honestly say O'Sushi is by far the best, their fish is excellent quality, prices are very resonable and the staff are always friendly.

Now stop reading this and go see for yourself!!

This place is quiet and cosy with a wide variety of Sushi and cooked foods. Naming soft shell crab sushi as one of them. It's been around for years, but shame it doesn't open on Sundays. Service is top notch. 9/10 in my books

An excellent restaurant specialising in japanese food but also serving some other oriental cuisine. I've been coming here for years now and the food has always been top notch. I wouldn't recommend it to someone in a great hurry as they have been known to be a little slow, but the food is all freshly prepared to order so in my opinion it's well worth the wait! It's often quiet and I sometimes fear for its future, so do check it out while it's still there!

We went for lunch and left as happy customers. The food was authentic and delicious and not oily at all. Staff were pleasant and friendly and the meal was reasonably priced. We had the curry laksa and fried noodles. We would definitely come back and try other things on the menu.

Excellent Malaysian Food. Definitely worth the trip to Croydon. They’ve moved from their previous Whitgift venue. Their card machine was broken so there was a cash or bank transfer option.

Great value, large portions and food made fresh. Authentic Malaysian food in Croydon. I’d recommend curry laksa and teh tarik, just like home. Friendly staff but cash only.

Went there expecting to find the previous Japanese restaurant, gave it a try anyway and I was not disappointed. They just relocated to these premises and I am sad to say I did not know of their existence in Whitgift before. I will return for sure. The food smelled divine, tasted amazing, the portions were good, the price range affordable and the lady I assumed to be the owner or manager was very welcoming. It was quiet when I went as it was 9pm on a Wednesday but I am sure they won't be for long.

Update: I've visited Uncle Lim's new restaurant at South end, Croydon. And this time i tried Hainan chicken, and Mrs Seafood Curry laksa. I must say, I'm now a fan of Hainan chicken. It was simple, yet Uber delicious. Curry laksa we've tried before, and as usual, it was very tasty. And portion was enough for 2. One of best places to get nasi goreng in south London

Terrific Malaysian cuisine. The curry laksa (ie curry mee) is especially great. We've just come back from Malaysia and can say that Uncle Lim's is authentic, really tasty food and we highly recommend a visit! We'll be back for sure.
