I was in Croydon to meet up with a friend and decided to go to the Cronx to get a quick pint before he turned up. It was quiet, but that seems to be normal for around 2pm on a Thursday afternoon. As always, a very polite service. The bartenders are funny and easy to talk to.
Always love a pint of Cronx; my favourite is Nektar.
Staff in the BoxPark Cronx are always really friendly and helpful.
As the bar is small it’s never overly rammed with people and service is reasonably fast as there are usually 2 people working.
There is something for all tastes from lagers, IPAs and Stouts etc. I think they usually have some guest ales as well.
You can buy bottles of their beer as well for approximately £4 but the staff told me if you go to the brewery in New Addington (10minute drive) they’re £2.50 each.
Nice little spot with great music and a nice selection of craft beer. Very friendly staff. Awesome place to people watch.
Great little bar at The Box Park, on the edge outside so separate to the main building, really good selection of beers, that change regularly. And if you drink in you get it in a glass.
The Cronx bar is convenient and brilliant! Not only is it mere inches from a transport hub but the beer is great too. Half the beers are Cronx favourites fresh from the brewery, the other half guest beers from many other fantastic breweries. The staff are friendly and very knowledgeable and will guide you if you can't decide.
Thoroughly great place!
A great selection of beers and cider to be tried here. The staff are knowledgeable and the choice on tap changes often. It's small inside as you could imagine but you can choose to take drinks out and into the main part of boxpark.
Semi pop up, craft beer bar. They have an amazing selection of beers, ales, lager. Some pumped, some gravity. The staff a very knowledgeable and will provide plenty of tasters to find the right pint for your taste. It is bloomin expensive (often £6.50 a pint!!) especially for Croydon, which is certainly not central London. Not withstanding that you get a great selection of real beer, a spit and sawdust ambience with friendly, knowledgeable staff.
Nice set up from Croydon's local brewers, with a selection of taps with craft beers and ales. Also a decent selection of bottles/cans in the fridge. Enough to variety for a good session. It's close to the station and is decked out nicely although small (it is box park after all, but this isn't in a container). The toilets are in the main box park and you can take drinks through to the main area, you'll be given a plastic cup.
Small bar serving a their own beers along with a large selection of craft beers. Takeaway available along with a discount for Camra members. Comfortable seating, good wifi, bar snacks, wines and spirits available. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the beer they sell. Minor downside is that toilets are a short walk away within the Box Park.
Such a travesty that the pandemic has forced this pub to be closed for so long. This little hole in the wall just serves beer (and some spirits etc., but you come for the beer) and crisps. It's the best beer in Croydon, though, and they make it themselves.
Great little micropub at Boxpark Croydon and handy for East Croydon Station. Excellent selection of good unusual ales and ciders. Not much seating and perhaps not the place to linger all evening, but we'll worth popping in for a pint or two.
Tiny bar with good range of cask and keg craft beers. Understandably very busy!
If you're a cider or a fruit ale/beer i would recommend this place! I wound go often go here to check our what new fruit beers or ciders they have available. Amazing staff that will always help you find a drink that you are after.
Always very pleasant to visit The Cronx Bar. The cool bar man ( wish I knew his name so I could enter it out of respect) is knowledgeable and passionate of their beer selection. Small, cosy, clean and lots of delicious local beers. A ++
Tiny pop-up style bar by the street area of Croydon's new Boxpark area. Tiny bar that serves a range of food including a decent breakfast. Range of craft beer on offer taken straight from the cask as well as some bottled beers. Simple and unfussy but tiny and cramped with more than about 20 people trying to get in.
Excellent beer inside a converted shipping container at Croydon box park. Cask and keg. The entrance is on the outside, farthest from the train station. But if you get peckish amazing selection of food offers on the inside.
Real ale heaven in two of the Boxpark's units. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, the customer's range from students through to old grey boozers (like me). I love this place, if you need food as well as good beer, the world of food in the Boxpark is the place to be, Cronxs' drinks can be taken into the Boxpark and vice versa.
