Fantastic Persian food that has been elevated to a new standard. If you haven't had Iranian food before and are interested in trying it, then this is a good restaurant to go to for your first try.
Went with some family and was pleasantly surprised at how this restaurant has taken standard Iranian dishes and improved not just the presentation for them, but also raising the flavours for some dishes as well.
For the starter we had Kashk_o Bademjan (Baked, crushed Aubergine with extra trimmings added in) served with in house made stone baked bread... Delicious!
We also had the Salad (can't quite remember the name, which had a mix of cucumber, mint and pomegranate) which was really nice and well presented.
For mains we had the Makhsoos – Barg o Koobideh (sliced tender lamb loin fillet and one skewer of ground shoulder of lamb),
The Baghali Polow – Lamb Shank,
And although I can't remember the name for it was the mixed kebab with Lamb and chicken shish. All of them were served with either fragrant/saffron rice and were all very tasty.
As for the other details, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the venue was quite fitting and clean, overall a solid standard for Iranian cuisine.
Lovely food from this restaurant. I ordered via delivery app and the food arrived quickly and hot, and as shown in the photo it was packaged well and kept the heat in.
The portion size of the chicken kebab was really big which was great.
The reason for 4 star is the Calamari portion was small, it had 3 Calamari's which compared to elsewhere you can usually get 4-6 so it's not drastic but 3 Calamari's for £8.50 in my opinion is expensive.
But I'll definitely order here again and hopefully one day dine in the restaurant I'll just avoid the Calamari and get something else.
Had Sunday lunch at Crystal as a party of 4. The food was excellent and the service was welcoming and friendly.
Something worth noting: the place is spotless clean, from the kitchen to the loo. Hygiene brownie points for this.

Very nice place. the food was amazing. The rice was freshly prepared, and the meat was super delicious and soft 😋. We tried Saffron ice cream, and it was lovely.
Very polite and helpful suff members, we were 4 adult with 4 kids, and they managed quickly to get us a one big table even though the place was nearly full .definitely recommend
I tried almost all the Persian Restaurant in London and this one is on of the best. Great food quality, tasty, decent price and very polite staff.

The best Persian restaurant I've ever been to. Hands down! Chicken and lamb that melts in your mouth. Traditional Iranian dishes that take me back to Iran.

It was a date night with my wife and I wanted to fine dine yet be local to us. South Croydon is as local as can be. Crystal Restaurant under Hussain fulfilled and tick boxed. Starter of Baba Ganoush, my Sea Bass main, the grilled Chicken, and then the Saffron infused sugar Mint tea. Perfect. Thank you so very much for a lovely service.
This is one of the most underrated restaurants ever because everyone should be raving about how good it is. One of the best Persian restaurants I’ve ever been to in London. Food is always well cooked and fresh and service is lovely. Prices pretty reasonable too.
This restaurant reinvented itself from a popular cafe, to a now popular restaurant. Food is excellent! Good portion sizes, well seasoned, presented nicely also. Good access, toilet facilities on same floor as restaurant. Smoothies are great, and staff are friendly and attentive. Well worth a visit. Highly recommend.

They were courteous, knowledgeable, and attentive to every detail, making sure our dining experience was seamless and enjoyable. We felt genuinely cared for throughout the entire evening. Food is beautiful, authentic and great quality. Super friendly staff who go out of their way to please customers. We have ordered very large quantities for family events and they went above and beyond to make sure we had outstanding food. A real gem in Croydon.
I tried Gheimeh nesaar per chef's suggestion and it was really delicious.

Fantastic find, Quality seasoned lamb Koobideh, cooked perfectly with saffron topped rice, grill tomato and whole chilli on the side. Service is attentive and fast. Both the Mint and Persian Black tea are excellent. The decor and seating well arranged. Highly recommended. Parking can be an issue, council run car park at the rear, however, free parking after 5pm and all day Sunday.

Super delicious! Nothing wrong with their Persian food at all! Sea bas is nothing near whatever is being served in London but so much better with the herbs and clever seasoning.

This is a very relaxed and cosy restaurant with really good food and good service my husband says it’s best Persian food in London. They also have good vegetarian options. Really good freshly made bread.
