Nice place.
Friendly staff.
Reasonable prices.
Food. Pool table. Clean toilets. Absence of crack heads, which is desirable in a comfortable inn to settle down for an evening.
The world's supply of gin varieties plus a good beer selection, including ales.
Wines of unknown quality.
Like the layout, feel and vibe of the place.

Always enjoy going to the Dragon, and it never fails to impress.
The beer range is outstanding, and always impeccably kept. A CAMRA discount is available, as well.
Service is always friendly and never flustered, even at the busiest of times. Lucy, Tom and Mary were on duty today and they were all excellent.
The food is top notch in its category; this isn’t a gastropub, so don’t expect Michelin-starred cuisine. It’s just good quality, affordable and delicious pub classics: burgers, pizza, etc. I had the karaage chicken burger today and it combined a crunchy coating with beautifully tender chicken, although the base of the bun did disintegrate.
If a soft bun is the only criticism of a pub, you know that you’re in a quality place. Full marks to Sue and her team. I’ll have to get to the Dragon more often.
Pub with an original area with a lot of billiards, staff available with innovative delicious dishes and good products, the good and tasty burger with sympathetic food.
(thank you for your patience and interest in wanting to please the customer, next time I return I will be of more help, for now I will just say that the app to order does not work well)

Am visiting from Northampton. My friends live here and showed me this place. Very friendly, great selection of food and drinks and great quality for both. So good I returned the following day after I tried a nearby bar and it was much better to return here again 😂
The staff are very pleasant and there is a good selection of cider and craft beer. I have not tried the food. On the midweek afternoon I visited it was very quiet. The heating was on full blast but it is a very large space to heat and felt quite chilly. Overall a good experience
The green dragon has come a long way since the hobbits left the shire for Mordor, still has wooden floors. You may need Google maps to find the downstairs restrooms. Food was excellent, nice variety of local ales and lagers as well as macros.
Excellent pub! What a fun choice of beers and highly recommend trying the chocolate cake stout and warped reverb beer!
Food was very nice, served quick. Barman very helpful. 5 stars all the way!
The Green Dragon is my favourite pub. Moved to Croydon nearly 3 years ago and always felt so welcome here! The bar staff are so lovely, the atmosphere is great, the decor is so cool and the food and drinks are fab. My top recommendation to anyone in the area.
Was able to vist for the first time since the lockdown. Food was half price and there was a very clear sanitising and social distancing regime in operation throughout the pub and the staff were very friendly.....returned here in 2023 and they have a very good selection of non alcoholic beers and ciders and still my favourite pub in the area...still the best vibe....
Bottomless brunch was great. Good selection of drinks and food. Great value
Thanks Alex !
Great food, great service and great atmosphere. Only let down was the super smelly security, maybe he should have been the one stood outside... can't quiet understand how he couldn't smell himself but love the pub
Really loved the pub theme! It's basically a game pub minus the actual gaming part to it which is interesting. The staff was very helpful and informative with the covid regulations. We felt safe here for sure.
Food arrived alittle too long and wasn't our cup of tea but customer service were bang on great and the drink prices were awesome! Super cheap!
I am a northerner (crewe), just visiting for personal reasons for the 5th time. Tho the prices of the beer are a shock, the food, the welcome, the staff are very good and go out of their way to help you. The food is very fairly priced, (it shocked me it was very cheap, for the area) and well presented and tasty. My visits have now ended, but would still reccomend this pub/restaurant as a place to visit, to eat or drink, all round very good.
Wonderful food, and excellent service. Thankyou Sue and Joe. Although it was busy, there was still plenty of seating.
Was pretty quiet with a pretty decent beer selection. I had a lager from Signal and a sour from Hammerton
Loved it! Fish and chips were great and decorations for Halloween are impressive - so artistic (and scary!)
