Much to our delight, Imperial Lounge was a serendipitous encounter. Located in Croydon, it is set within the site of London’s first major airport. The name Imperial Lounge was derived from Imperial Airways, which was the first international airline to fly from London to India. With the site’s rich history, Imperial Lounge offers contemporary Indo-Chinese cuisine which encompasses India’s rich and diverse regional differences. Disclaimer: We were invited to review.
This is an ideal place for a big party. We went for our work Christmas party here and the location, atmosphere and food was great. So many options to choose from if you like Indian or oriental cuisine. The restaurant was not too noisy so we could easily talk and chat as well. Will return with my family no doubt.
Been here a couple of times. Loved the food. First time had the roomali roti here and to be frank not sure what roti that was but it definitely wasn't roomali roti. Had the murgi methi curry. That was good. The virgin coolers were awesome! It is a must try.
We have been here a few times and always loved the tasty indo Chinese food which thankfully is not anglicized and is served in good portions. Don't miss the chilli chicken at any cost. The ambience is good, food is served fast and they do display various sports events.
Great family meal. Excellent food with friendly staff. Very good service
👍👌🍻😁
Lovely Mother's Day dinner. Once again the food was excellent & the staff were friendly. The service was good and fast. The place was clean although the toilets area could do with some regular cleaning and maintaining. The general atmosphere was warm & friendly. 👍🍺🍹😁
Great restaurant with good choice of Asian food. The starters are a bit pricey but I guess that’s what you pay when you’re in and around London. Service is great and they accommodated 12 of us without a reservation and with no issues
Excellent restaurant for good Indo Chinese and Indian cuisine. Even couple of cocktails are wonderful. We have been very impressed on every visit. Staff is very courteous and ambience is fantastic. It also has a sports bar area with Indian style pub food.
Excellent food and great service. The starters are outstanding, and the main courses are pretty good. Especially enjoyed the Chow Chu Cauliflower, the Chicken Tikka, the Tai Pai Prawns and the Goat Vindaloo. I would heartily recommend a visit. We've visited a dozen times now and the food on each visit has been excellent. We also went on Mother's Day 2022, at which we were served a limited but great menu; and once again the food was excellent 👌.
We visited in February 2023 and had an excellent meal of chow chu cauliflower, chicken tikka, barra lamb chops, chicken lollipops, allo tikki chaat, tai pai prawns, chilli moon, chilli garlic naan and lamb bhunna. 😋
This time tested restaurant has most of the time been a ‘Happy Buddha’ for me. The aloo tikki chat as a starter was the best. My Indo Chineese craze had to be with Manchow soup, fish Manchurian and the prawn noodles, all of which went down very well. Ohh yes..not to forget the dessert - Warm choc brownie with ice cream!!! Though I don’t have much of a sweet tooth, I couldn’t stop with one bite!!!
Weekdays evenings are very quiet, spacious. clean interiors, good ambience, quick service with friendly staff. Ticks most boxes to recommend. 👌🏼
Good imbence and equally delicious food
Must try Chaat/Chinese items.
We recently went again; this time we had to wait more than an hour for the meal. We also noticed that the quantity of food had decreased.
Authentic Indian food !!
We had ordered food for our son's 1st birthday and it was very delicious.
The staff was very accommodating as we had to change the quantity at last moment. Would like to mention Umesh, Chef and crew who opened the kitchen earlier as our guests were meeting us earlier on a Sunday. Food was ready on time and was in good portion.
After our event, many of our friends called us and mentioned about food being amazing and delicious.
Would love to recommend and be myself as many times as possible !!
Regards,
Kunal Singh

Place has few parking spaces
Close to bus stop
Also serve alcohol
Will defo go again.
Restaurant welcomes you with pleasant ambience, classy feel to start a dinner. Wide range of veg options, also delicious starters. We enjoyed cauliflower Manchurian with hot noodles.
Try out the popular Indo-Chinese cuisine here. The food has that authentic flavour that you don't find in many Indian restaurants. Good selection of desserts and many vegetarian options on the menu. Based inside the Croydon Airport, the restaurant is very spacious and has a bar area.
