Nice little pub near Delamere. Dog friendly. Didn't try food but smelled good. Hot chocolate is not the best tasted like instant hot chocolate. 😩 staff friendly and quick service. Toilets spotless. There are plenty of parking spots and outside seating, but I expect it gets bust in summer as such a lovely pub.

'We'll be back' says it all. Great local gem. Amazing, fresh food. 5 out of 5 guests were very happy with their meals. We had a burger, gammon, Sunday roast, cheese and onion pie and fish of the day (sea bass), ice cream, honeycomb cheesecake and brownie. We were very nicely surprised by, not only food, but nice homey deco and very helpful and professional staff. Everyone from my 11 year old daughter to my friend who celebrated his 80th birthday loved this visit and couldn't praise enough. Fresh, tasty, well presented... We will come back for more;)

Very friendly welcome by the staff, food was decent, beer was good. Dog friendly too and the log burner was a joy, sat right next to it to warm up after a walk. Would definitely recommend and will certainly be back.

Lunch for five, seated in the conservatory. Lovely pub, nicely decorated and furnished. Clean toilets. Friendly competent service. All the meals were tasty, well cooked pub grub and good value. Nothing fancy but some good options. The Steak and Ale pie and the Falafel burger were particularly enjoyable. Selection of ales and wine, and good coffee. Dog friendly, so we'll be back after a dog walk soon, when that stove's lit!

We both had chicken wrapped in bacon with motzerella, with a taragon sauce , new potatoes and four vegetables,it was cooked and presented perfectly. Probably one of the best pub lunches I've eaten in a very long time.

Always a nice meal here. Try to book though as its difficult to get a table especially inside. It's quite small inside the pub but it's nice. Nice waiting on staff. Would recommend.

Made to feel very welcome by both staff and landlord, what a lovely man. I'm in a wheelchair and found the access into the pub very easy. Front door easily drove my wheelchair through. Food was beautifully presented, hot and plenty on my plate. Will definitely be returning and would recommend without hesitation.

It's a nice place and the staff were lovely. Wasn't much on the menu that I particularly liked but I am fussy. My friends all enjoyed the food so it is just me. What I chose was the ploughman's platter which was presented lovely and quite substantial. Certainly couldn't go wrong with that. Overall pretty good.

Great pub. We go everytime we're up in the area from Sheffield. Great atmosphere and staff but even better food.

This is one of our locals that we use for a Sunday roast or similar. The owners are ace people and the atmosphere is very cosy. There's a good selection of beers...what's not to like? This questionnaire asked what has changed. None of the options covered our choices. We had a superb cod and chips plus veggies 'n'at and and a perfect Ploughman's, washed down with a nice and fruity/spicy Chilean merlot. Perfectimundo!

Four of us had Sunday lunch today. We rang to say that our walk was running late for the booking but this wasn't a problem. We all had the Sunday roast beef which was excellent and the accompanying vegetables were also excellent.Service was friendly and efficient in a cosy atmosphere.Thank you all at Hare and Hounds.

Lovely country pub and restaurant in Crowton Cheshire. The Sunday Roast was tasty. My only criticism is whilst sitting in the ample benches outside to enjoy the spring weather, my meal cooled off a bit too quickly 🙃. For a few extra minutes of heating would have been ideal. But overall, friendly, good service pub 👍 to meet friends for a drink 🍸 or meal. Ample parking too.

Been here twice now, once in summer (sitting outside) and this afternoon (11th Dec, sitting inside). On both occasions it has had a pleasant atmosphere and great table service. The pub has contemporary decor of a high quality and homely vibe. Food is excellent, I've been to a lot of places to eat around the country and for a local pub it is well priced, great portion size, good choice of ingredients and fully home made from what I can observe. I had the fish and chips, great size with chunky white fish and authentic crispy batter, better than most chip shops. My wife had a Nicoise Salad and enjoyed it very much, noting the capers as a nice addition. Today she had a fish butty, which was effectively my fish in a sandwich, lovely. The chef does this establishment a great service. I live nearby and will be visiting again more often, hopefully to try the Sunday lunch at some point.

Short menu, great food, excellent service! Every item on the menu was appealing, so we went for a sharing platter that had the majority of them on there. The steaks were cooked to perfection, the fish of the day was delicious, and the fish and chips was MASSIVE The staff were all lovely, made us feel very welcome and really added to the outing Well done guys!
