Well, credit where credit is due. Super experience from start to finish, friendly knowledgeable staff, comfortable and easy atmosphere. Everything we tried was delicious, especially the brisket….but the ribs are great too…vegetarians are not left out of the Smokey experience, but it’s best to discuss this when booking.
Absolutely amazing experience with the friendliest staff and owners. They gave us such a personal evening and it was a pleasure to be a part of what you can tell is a love of theirs. We had a mixture of dishes including the sharing platter. The meat was so tender and taste was amazing - very impressed! A very generous portion size too. I was also a vegetarian and they specially cooked a few options up for me and the chef came out and spoke to me about it. I had smoked cauliflower steak which had the most beautiful flavour and went so well with the rest of the food. Cocktails were also delicious and beautifully made! Staff were refreshing friendly and helpful. They also showed us the uniquely designed smoking ovens which was such a added bonus! Overall we had a fantastic evening, would highly recommend and there’s no doubt we will be returning!
This place was highly recommended by a friend, so thought we would give it a go..........we were greeted by friendly staff and the owner and shown to our table where ordered our drinks which are sourced locally in Wokingham.
We ordered two of the sharing platters between four of us and when it came out was absolutely amazing and cooked to perfection as they have their own custom made smokers on site and can really taste the difference to their competitors.
After the meal we got talking to the owner and could see how passionate he was about what he and the team are doing there and it really comes out in the food.........we will definitely be frequenting this place.
Great atmosphere in a lovely family run smokehouse restaurant. Had the sharing platter which was very very tasty. The meat was so tender and juicy.
After the meal we got to meet the pitboss and he showed us the smokers.

Every time I've been, the food has been to a very high standard and - as an American who has lived in the UK the last 10 years - it's one of the most authentic and quality smoked BBQ meals I've had in the country. The last time I went, I took my parents who were visiting from the states, and they also found the food and service to be excellent. Front of hours was very friendly and gave us a tour of the smokers where we met the pit master. The mixologist was very talented and I loved the selection of local craft beer (as a beer enthusiast). While I personally love the beers, the only thing to note is that if you prefer something like carling, carlsberg, stella, or bierra moretti, you won't find anything like that here so worth being aware (as I know my in-laws were hoping there would be one of those options so they unfortunately don't go as much as they might). There isn't a bad item on the menu from what I've tried so far - the only thing I've yet to sample was the chicken and I cannot wait to go back for that. One of the best new features of our high street where you can't beat the hospitality - it's a place I look forward to taking visitors every time.
We had the meat sharing platter which was delicious, tender tasty brisket, ribs (meat falling off the bone!), sausages & pulled pork. We also had the jerk chicken which was tasty too. Very generous portion, we took meat & slaw home. Polite, helpful, friendly staff. We did want a dessert but we didn’t fancy the two choices available of Black Forest gateaux & lemon pie. Would be nicer to have a larger selection maybe with an ice cream choice to finish off our meal.
Very very good ribs with plenty of meat and a real balance of flavour. Also had the smoked brisket which was soft and flavoursome. If you are hungry go for a full rack of ribs and a side dish. Nice people, good service, they even let us look at the giant custom made smokers round the back of the place. Deserves to be a success with the love and effort going into the food.
First trip here and it lived up to the stories we had heard and more. We were offered a tour of the smoker and a quick chat on the story behind the setting up of the restaurant. Then back to the large table near the window and a read through the comprehensive menu. We opted for the platter so that we could have a try of everything. When it arrived we had doubts that we would be able to work our way through it all. Everything was delicious. The brisket was soft and succulent, the pulled pork was smoky and all the trimmings were more than enough to fill us up. John the maitre de was helpful, attentive and keen to ensure we had a great time and great food. Will definitely return and cant wait to bring family and friends here.
My favourite restaurant been multiple times with my friends to celebrate. The food is outstanding, service is great and the staff are always brilliant.
The fact they now serve siren beer is just the cherry on top. Can't recommend this place enough!
Awesome food, friendly staff.... can't ask for much more. We even got to tour the kitchen and check out the HUUUUUUUGE smokers.
