Came in today on the off chance, we were going to "Don Beni" but unfortunately it was closed! It's the first time I'd been to "The Prince" have driven past lots of times,
but never thought to go in...
Well I'm so pleased we did!
Had a warm welcome, the décor was really nice and not what I'd expected from the outside. Very clean and the staff were warm and friendly, nothing was a problem. We absolutely loved the food - I had the "Chicken Caesar Flatbread" great presentation and tasted delicious, Dad had the "Pork Belly" , Mum had the Salmon Fillet"
Really good looking food that tasted as good as it looked!
I chose "Lemon meringue pie" this was the best I'd ever had.
It was served warm with lovely thin pastry, zesty lemon curd and sticky toasted meringue on top, with freshly whipped cream on the side!
I'm a real foody and love finding new places that serve great food.
I will be going back in the near future with my husband for lunch.
I would highly recommend "The Prince" to all my friends and family!
Thank you
your doing a great job
My family visited this pub and the staff is just amazing. We wanted to meet for tea and they allowed us to bring nibbles and cakes and laid them out for us. This kind of generosity and not expecting anything back had won us over. The staff was very friendly towards us and our overseas visitor friends loved such hospitality that they already wrote to their friends about it. We will definitely return but to eat dinner there and not take our food next time. Thank you Prince management for having a great team.x
Held my son's christening party at The Prince and had lots of compliments from our guests who really enjoyed the day. Have already recommended to others. Great food, great service, great staff and great atmosphere.
My absolute favourite pub in the local area. The staff are friendly and really get to know you as a local. Good food, always have events planned, good atmosphere and just a general great place to have fun and meet friends!
Got to keep the 'winner burger' on the menu plus bring back the halloumi and chips!!! Great pub with fantastic staff
First time in 30 years I've been here , changed a lot , still friendly bar staff even if I did stay for an hour
New manager is very assertive and very friendly she couldn't do enough for us. Great food and service and they sell sam Adams on tap!!
The staff are Friendly and the food is good
Love this pub food and staff always good and good selection of real ales and cider
Great food for great value. Will defo recommend
Beautiful summer's day, perfect company, lovely outdoor seating, pleasant staff 😀 and a great lunch - delicious super grain salad and a pink spritz 🥳
A vast improvement since the refurbishment, loving the new outside spaces with lighting and heating. Toilets are now fit to use and the new stone floor much safer. Only downside to my visit was the lack of Greene King IPA. Had to have Abbott instead which is much stronger. Also had to teach staff how to apply CAMRA Discount, as seemingly their training didn’t include how to us the CAMRA button on the till. Otherwise a very enjoyable visit and will be back next time I’m in Crowthorne.
I’m not much of a pub person but being a local I was curious how the recent refit had faired as it looked nice from the outside and looked really busy over the summer months.
I popped in one day mid week for a quick bit for lunch. The food was okay but just that. I had a pie that was of good quality but let down by what looked and tasted like reheated mash which was hard to believe being lunchtime. That’s what I got for nearly £20 with a soft drink.
The decor has been really tastefully done and one can only hope that it is maintained as the outside furnishings were already showing advanced signs of wear and tear. I wish them good luck but fear that the level they are now aiming at is perhaps better catered for by more established competition
Lovely pub which despite being busy were served quickly. Friends have eaten there and said food was very good. Lovely redecoration inside and out - will definitely go back!
Always good at our local pub. Had this delicious brunch while watching the rugby. Very good cappuccino and a mimosa, why not. Great service too.
Amazing Sunday Breakfast. Fantastic atmosphere watching the Women’s World Cup final at The Prince. Fantastic service and the breakfasts were phenomenal. Although it wasn’t the win we all hoped for - great time had by all including the treats given out to the dogs!! Thanks to all at The Prince. See you soon.
I visited the Prince earlier for my first time and was very impressed! I absolutely loved the toilets- whoever is in charge of the interior decor is amazingly talented because the choice of wallpaper truly blew me away. I will definitely be returning, what a lovely pub!!
Clearly, they're at work in improving the outdoor decking space here. The pub is off a main road and has a large green area/ field across the road. An outdoor children play area but to be fair as no kids didn't spend much time considering this. Staff seem friendly enough but has a sense/ feel of a 'locals' pub. Saying this we were not in anyway made to feel any unease.
Such a great place! We sat in the covered area outside, and it was just beautiful. The food was incredible too - I wish I had two stomachs so I could've finished everything! Sadly we were too late for dessert, but there's always next time. Really reasonably priced too; you absolutely get more than you paid for. Very lively atmosphere too (in a good way) and the staff were lovely.
Literally my only criticism is that there were people smoking and vaping, ironically directly beneath the "no smoking or vaping" sign, but can't really blame the staff for that; I know firsthand how difficult people are to control once alcohol's involved!
This is my local and I think it's great - they are so friendly and welcoming to people with dogs.
Staff are always so friendly especially Jay! Always checking in to see if everything is ok. It just had a recent refurb and it looks great. The food is lovely and the decor is superb. Would recommend.
The Prince is a gorgeous pub with a friendly bunch of staff who are always happy to help.
I had the Big breakfast from their brunch menu which was delicious!
It was so nice seeing how the staff and management interacted with their customers, quick service with a smile.
I will definitely be returning.
Nice new decor, good ambience, helpful staff. Food orders mixed up, then sorted, jacket potato not defrosted properly - hot at the top, frozen, cold and soggy at the bottom - inedible
Visited this pub yesterday and were very impressed with the child friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Highly reccomemd the food too as the menu has something for everyone.
The 'new' Prince is a marvel! Great refurbishment, amazing service from wonderful staff. I've been drinking here on and off for over 30 yrs, and this is the best I've seen it with a wonderful atmosphere and great mix of customers.
The Prince has been renovated and the interior is welcoming, as is the heated beer garden.
I was offered a handle or straight for a well-pulled pint of ale (Abbott) and all of the staff and the landlord are welcoming and attentive
The Prince is my Local geographically and emotionally!
Planned to stop at this pub whilst out on a walk with my dad (14th May '23). We arrived at 11:25am being advised by Google that it opened at 11am on a Sunday - in fact, it didn't open until midday. We came across the landlord out sweeping the pavement - lovely guy. We got chatting and explained the situated - he invited us into the pub garden and served us a drink ahead of opening, which was much appreciated. The pub is now closed for refurbishments but we plan on a return visit once it is open again.
The assistant manager was absolutely amazing at meeting our needs within this pub during our visit. Nothing was too much of a ask.
Will definitely be returning once they reopen.
