Visited again this evening for a meal and really enjoyed the chicken schnitzel, the service from waiting staff was excellent and they were very friendly. There was a bit of a wait on food and especially so for the post-meal coffees, but otherwise was great all-round! Lovely beer
From start to finish, I enjoyed everything. The beer garden is beautiful and big with a pleasant outlook over fields. Visited unannounced and without reservations on a busy evening, staff were able to fit us in at short notice and we enjoyed a fine evening meal. Many thanks to the Manager who when asked to order a taxi, ran us back to the canal in his own car!!

We visited the Chequers at Crowle for a meal out with my parents after they’d returned from a weekend away for both of their birthdays. We needed somewhere dog friendly and here was very accepting. We booked a table and we’re seated in the bar area where bowls of water were available.
