Great service
Stopped off here for food and booze. Decent beers, the food was great with a friendly service team. Everything you would hope for from a country pub. Muscles were well worth trying... if they are in season when you're there. Don't often give 5 stars but I think it's deserved 😎
We visited because of the positive reviews, and we weren’t disappointed. The Sunday roast was excellent (both meat and veggie options). They also serve kid size portions.

What a great find . Received a really warm welcome when we arrived from staff and the locals . Longman real ale was well kept and a good selection of gins (alcoholic and 0% as I found out))). The food was of an excellent standard especially the mussels and bread. A huge bowl of large perfect mussel

Superb roast and great service
I had Sunday roast beef and my girlfriend had roast pork. Both cooked perfectly with delicious roast potatoes and vegetables. The Brussels sprouts were the best I've ever tasted. Friendly helpful staff and good value.
We were staying just down the road and had a super dinner here; the service was great! We were warmly welcomed and had some lovely food! The fish & chips were great! A good selection of beers too!! Highly recommended!!

Best food in East Sussex. We been in many places. But this place have a simply delicious meals. Fantastic customer service. Recommended to family with kids and dogs.
