Sunday lunch, I'm not a fan of plated Sunday roast, however it was tasty and well presented, although, cauliflower/ broccoli would have been welcome, frozen garden peas have no place on a Sunday roast. Service was ok, we were a table of 17, so some people had almost finished by the time the last plate arrived. The desserts looked good and the coffee was nice. A very pleasant afternoon for my niece's birthday.

Called in for a meal when we were passing. Lovely food and fab service. We didn't have space for dessert at the time but were able to get it as a takeaway to eat when we got home! Would definitely recommend!

Just lovely. Booked a party of three adults +dog on a Monday night. Every menu item was available and the special (salmon) was beautifully cooked. Staff friendly and attentive. Cost pp competitive as of July '23.

More a restaurant than a pub, IMHO. We called in early evening for a break & a drink whilst driving from Scotland to Yorkshire. The "bar" is very small, at the time it was more a reception area for the large dining areas. It seemed very popular for food.

What a lovely place. We stumbled across The Duke of York just over 2 years ago when we were passing by in the winter. It had a great open fireplace and felt so cosy. We returned yesterday to try the food and it was superb 👌. We have recently moved into the area so we are definitely looking forward to becoming regulars

A cosy eatery with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. A staff member greeted us and took us to our reserved table, taking our drinks order at the same time. We ordered 2 glasses of Proseco, which arrived in a very short space of time, chilled. There is a varied menu to suit most tastes, with daily specials. We chose Mussels and Prawn Cocktail to start and from the specials Sea Bass. All were well served, presented and cooked, being both tasteful and plentiful. During each course, the staff were attentive but not overbearing, ensuring 'everything was ok' In all a pleasant experience, we will be more than happy to repeat in the future.

Excellent BBQ ribs and friendly staff. Tables in dining area seemed very close together, but fortunately wasn't too busy when we visited. Would definitely come again for the food though.
