Great fish and chips last night in your restaurant. Even though you were extremely busy due to the carnival, it didn't show :) Both of my children ate all their tea up, so they must be good! Quick service and friendly staff.

It's one of Cromer's top fish and chip shops, offering a wide range of hot food that you would expect from such a place as well as vegetarian and gluten-free options. Sides are also available as well as burgers, fritters, sauces, etc. The food is well cooked and great value for money. Polite, efficient staff serve you hot food in recyclable packages and bags. Highly recommend for all your fish and chip needs, great for all the family.

Love love love this fish & chip place! We always travel all the way to Cromer as they are the nicest. Never had a bad meal here. Not greasy at all. Staff always polite and quick service. One of the other things I absolutely love here is there are no calories in sight on the menu's. Can't tell you how much we love this and appreciate it Mary Jane's Fish Bar! Thank you 😊

A one night stopover in Cromer and I wanted to see if Mary Jane’s was as good as I remembered from 8 years ago. They did not disappoint. Thick flaky cod and well cooked chips were excellent and all for £10!

Just had cod and chips from Mary Jane's. Good size portions, cooked to perfection. Would definitely recommend. If you are lucky enough to work for the NHS or emergency services you will get a 10% discount on top! (May 2024).

Went a little later in the day, as we saw on our several visits to Cromer, lunchtime and afternoons are clearly very popular and busy. Went around 5.30, managed to get a table for two adults and two children. Food was great, lovely crispy chips, and flaky meaty fish, with a crispy batter. A really high standard of fish and chips.

FOOD 4/5 Fresh fish however, the bones do spoil the experience. Chips, gravy and portion sizes are all perfect. ATMOSPHERE 4/5 Pretty straightforward seating and simple. Putting on a little music could add a nice touch. SERVICE 4/5 Nice people, fast but too busy to make it feel personal. VALUE: 4/5 Everything taken into consideration, it's fairly priced at around £15/head including drink and service. OVERALL: Not the best and nowhere near the worst I've had. Would like to try the boneless options in the area when I go back.

We were on holiday and visited crommar, and this was the best fish and chips we have had in a long time, price was reasonable for size of portions, fish and batter were absolutely perfect. Customer service was excellent. Thank you.

Our battered sausages and chips tasted fresh and delicious, and I also enjoyed a very decent cup of tea. The atmosphere was cosy and the service efficient and friendly. I thought it decent value for money for a cafe so close to the seafront.

Thank you for wonderful food and such friendly service. It was Maundy Thursday, really busy but despite all that, so efficient and I was so touched to see one of the serving staff still find time to help an elderly, disabled customer into the restaurant and to a table. Stuff like that really makes a huge difference. Thank you and I hope to come back soon.

Friday late afternoon in late May and there was a constant turnover of people eating in. As one table emptied, it was cleaned and refilled. Waiting time for a table was a minute at most, and the time between sitting down and our food being presented was impressive. Haddock, Chips Mushy Peas and a Bread Roll. Extremely nice. November 2023 Update. Still very good Fish & Chips but the restaurant has been redecorated and they have new tables and chairs. Very nice.

Always our go to place for fish and chips. Staff are very welcoming. There are usually queues which shows how popular it is, but the wait isn't usually too long.

Best fish and chips in Cromer cooked to order, reasonably priced, and you can request vegetable oil not the usual fat

We wanted some bites for quick lunch and chanced upon this. There was a long queue but it cleared very fast. There are two outlets - one is a sit down restaurant where there are servers serving at the table. The other entrance is a walk in take away counter. Prices are very reasonable. We had fish nuggets, fish cake, fish roe. They are all deep fried. The bill came up to about GBP7. The fish cake is mixed with potatoes while the fish roe is mainly just the roe deep fried with a thin batter.
