What a delightful place to visit. It was a warm Sunday late morning and the cafe was very busy but we didn't wait long. We only had coffees and cakes but they came surprisingly quickly and were very good. The setting overlooking the lake was exquisite, making the coffee a lovely memory. I haven't been before but we'll certainly be back.

Very helpful and cheerful staff. Nothing was too much trouble. The seating was inside and outside, plenty of airy space and very popular. Dogs, children, disabled all made very welcome.

Really excellent tea rooms. Friendly & helpful staff. Great food and drinks and highly recommended. Be warned that parking on the road nearby might get you a parking ticket from the overly officious Wiltshire council jobsworth traffic wardens. Park in the car park opposite or in the few spaces at the tea rooms. When the wardens arrive, the tea room staff do warn everyone in case anyone has parked at the side of the road.

Stop off at Shearwater Lake Tea Rooms after our walk up to Heaven’s Gate. Can’t believe Iv never been in there before the amount of times Iv been to the lake. The food was absolutely incredible! I went for the Stilton ploughman’s and was not disappointed. The presentation and the amount of food you get for the price you pay is outstanding!! Tasted amazing as well! Everything was baked and made to order: will definitely be returning!

Visited to break a long circular walk starting from Heaven's Gate carpark. It was a drizzly autumnal day, therefore not too busy, and the perfect stop for a drink and to refuel before finishing our walk. Delicious homemade cakes and good coffee.

This was the first time my husband and I had been here. We were with friends who had driven us there (they'd been before). Although extremely busy, the tearoom staff were super efficient and friendly. Excellent food and beautiful surroundings. Well worth a visit.

Most delicious homemade meals! Couldn’t fault anything and excellent value for money. The cream tea is a must if you love homemade scones. Best sandwiches around, recommend the fish finger and ham. Lovely jacket potatoes, will definitely be returning :)
