Highly recommend the delicious Steak and Ale pie. Prompt service. Lovely staff. Just a shame you don't get to sit in the beautiful barn with the mill like it shows on the website, you only get to see it if you go to the 'inside toilets'.

Food was served very quick after ordering and piping hot. Tasted great, had the lamb roast, slightly disappointed with the meat but having said that for the price shouldn't really grumble. Server's were polite and well spoken.

Lovely stop for food around Brecon Beacons, didn’t have a booking but they still had space. Starters were Sweet Potato and Pepper Soup or Garlic Mushrooms and both of them were really piping hot and fantastic. Sunday roast was fantastic with loads of veggies and a really nicely made Cauliflower Cheese. Special mention to the Lamb roast! We barely had room for dessert but we decided to go with the Crunchie and Biscoff Sundae (on a Sunday), a lush finish to kickstart our 4 hour drive back to london. Lovely service, would be back when we visit Brecon Beacons again!

Generous portions, meat was so tender, everything full of flavour. Puddings were delicious too. Will visit again :-)

Lovely place with nice staff and tasty roast potatoes. I’m not normally a cauliflower cheese fan but I was hypnotised by their offering. The place was warm and relaxed despite being busy. The Brownie was delicious and gave plenty of energy for the walk home!

Had a beautiful steak here last week. I started with a few drinks outside in the garden, which has beautiful views of the Brecon Beacons. The building itself is a proper ‘old world’ property, with exposed wood, low door frames and a warm welcoming feel to it. A good selection of drinks at the bar. The main dining area is stunning. An open plan area, with steps down to the rolling stone which I presume, used to crush the apples for the cider! There are narrow windows to the front with a selection of tables to eat in this are also! Lots of exposed wood, high vault ceilings, dried hops hanging across the beams and small fairy lights all round creating a warm, intimate atmosphere. The food was simply beautiful! I had steak which was cooked as you asked. This came with fresh skin on chips, delicious beer batter onion rings and grilled tomato. I had a peppercorn to go with steak which again, was delicious. Also had a side of ciabatta garlic bread to go with the main which was very tasty. Will definitely go back again soon and is worth the travel to get there.

Wow what a little gem, found this because the road to Talybont was closed. The food was absolutely delicious, all local produce... my husband commented that the cow he was eating was still mooing yesterday. Fab service and we will return.

Absolutely delicious food and good selection of ciders. Locally sourced fresh ingredients, we had a really really good meal and it was a welcome change from the standard pub grub 10/10 recommend!!

This is by far one of the best places for Sunday lunch. A great simple menu....huge portions and friendly staff. Full covid measures in place but doesn't stop or dampen the experience. I forgot to take pictures as I so enjoyed the food. We had 2 courses for less than £15 each. Garlic mushrooms to start with crispy bread and butter....just lovely...followed by roast beef, homemade massive Yorkshire pudding, real roast potatoes. Veg served separately which was fresh carrots, broccoli, peas and cauliflower cheese. Couldn't manage pudding!! Highly recommended and worth booking so your not disappointed!
