Excellent. We find it so hard to find a great place to eat locally because I am gluten free diet. I actually had a choice of food and it really was nice. Staff are friendly and helpful. We will definitely be returning. Wish we had tried it sooner.
Excellent, freshly-cooked food. Good range of vegetarian and gluten-free options too. They have various specials and meal deals too. Friendly staff.
We have eaten here twice this week and really enjoyed the food and the great service. Good beer selection, which is kept beautifully . Really good village pub.
What a great pub , the food was amazing and my room for the night was faultless. Great place - will definately stay again if I'm in the area
Really couldn't recommend these guys enough. 3rd party booking site made a mistake with our booking but the staff immediately sorted it out for us with no issues. The room was lovely, spacious, clean, modern. Food was excellent, beer was excellent and the staff were absolutely fantastic. Would definitely stay here again.
Add a fantastic 2 nights here over the weekend staff amazing food too die for and the customers are so friendly 6 stars from me
We have never had a bad meal at The Wheatsheaf......we live in Daventry and often bring friends and relatives who always love it too.
The food is always lovely and tasty.
We will be back many more times :-)
7 of us went for dinner last night. All had 3 courses and each one of us enjoyed every bit of our meals. I had the beef carpaccio, fish stew & cheesecake. Delicious. Stayed over as well. Nice room. Well done The Wheatsheaf.
Been a number of times food always very good always different specials on menu
Wonderful food great service and friendly staff we all had a memorable evening and will be back. Many thanks.
3 people, belly pork bites and chips, fish and chips, lamb shank and new potatoes. Excellent food, friendly service, can't fault them. The guest cider (snail bite?) was pineapple and grapefruit flavour and so refreshing...
Great pub, we were on a Narrowboat for the week and stopped at Crick. Went into 2 pubs close to each other and the Wheatsheaf won out for us to sit at and take a load off. Nice staff and a good selection of drinks. Great selection of meals from bar meals to full size restaurant style meals. We went with a selection from the bar meals and were not disappointed, great flavours and a reasonable size. The perfect meal for a late afternoon while enjoying a cold drink watching the world go by.
If we come back through Crick would not hesitate stopping in here again.
Booked in for a meal with friends for one of their birthdays and we all had a Sunday roast, two beef (one of them large) and one veggie, it was delicious, great ingredients (tasted like mum's old roasts where everything bar the meat was grown in the garden) and all cooked perfectly. Great portion size too. We all loved our dinners and will definitely be back here when in the area again!
A lovely pub / diner set in a lovely village. All the staff were very friendly and the food delicious. The only reason I have knocked 1 star off was the fact that they let dogs into the restaurant area. Not very hygienic and the dog kept barking which was a little annoying. Would definitely go back though as this was hopefully just a one-off.
Great canalboat lunch stop for 7 of us. Marvellous special of fishcakes & Thai curry, pizzas for some, all 7 meals top drawer. Great service. Highly recommend
Great stay, staff very warm and friendly. Had a lovely evening meal stayed in a comfy room . Breakfast was over done as we were the only table having breakfast at the time it should have been perfect did speak to the waiter and explained would defiantly visit again
Great stopover on our trip up north Lovely room, clean and comfortable and friendly staff.
Food excellent as well. Highly recommended will probably use again on next trip.
Called in, after a long day on the canal, to find a nice selection of great food, at reasonable prices and a nice choice of drinks. Great, attentive staff. Lovely atmosphere. Well recommended 👌
My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights, visiting from New Jersey. The staff was wonderful, welcoming, and very accommodating. The food was Amazing! Best fish and chips we've ever had, in the states or the UK. Sunday roast was fantastic, especially the jeweled nut roast. The sticky toffee pudding was so rich and flavorful, we got it three times. In fact, we drove back just to have dinner a third time even though we were unable to book a room for a third night since there were no vacancies. The food, the people, and the atmosphere of this place will have us dreaming about returning to England some day soon.
A really nice village pub. There is a good choice of beers and wines and the menu is varied. The food options we chose were excellently cooked and presented and prices are reasonable.
Very nice pub clean tidy well presented.
The food was very good with plenty of choice. Will definitely go again
