This was my first time visiting patisserie Valerie and I wasn't disappointed. The service was great, staff friendly. We had cake, coffee and tea with a toasted teacake.the cakes were delicious and so pretty. The teacakes came with plenty of butter and were very tasty. The only reason I gave 4 stars was because the coffee could have been better. I ordered a flat white which came with half of it in my saucer and was just luke warm. Also it was a little watery? To me the coffee makes or breaks a place. I am still glad I visited though.
A great selection of cakes and drinks for a lunch time catch up.
Friendly staff and always a nice experience.
We were up at Cribbs Causeway doing some shopping and we stopped at Patisserie Valerie for a coffee and a snack. There are quite a few places you can have a coffee at Cribbs, but what I like about Patisserie Valerie is that it is table service. So we sat at our table and looked over the menu. The place was busy, but the service was excellent, and we didn’t have to wait long to order.
My first choice was an apricot danish, however they had run out. So I went with my second choice, which wasn’t a pastry, but Valerie’s Welsh Rarebit. Our food arrived promptly, which was nice, especially as the place was quite full of diners. Valerie’s Welsh Rarebit was toasted bloomer bread topped with a poached egg, tomato chutney, cheddar, mustard & served with a side salad.
I don’t think I have ever had Rarebit before, so I was interested to see what it was going to be like. This was a nice cheesy toast dish, the mustard was subtle and added warmth. The poached egg was perfectly cooked. I liked the tomato chutney, which was on the side, I did think it was a little too sweet for me. Overall it was a really nice light meal.
I think one of the reasons I hadn’t ordered or had this dish before, was that usually I am looking for cake, or a full meal. Valerie’s Welsh Rarebit for me is more of a snack, or a light meal.
Alongside I had a flat white, not the best flat white in the world, but it was a good coffee.
We ate a delicious english breakfast. Everything was perfect. Everyone was smilling and generous. We will return for sure to repeat the great experience.
Just had afternoon tea. What a lovely experience.
Food was great.
Couldn't eat it all so Lucy
Kindly boxed it up to take home.
Lovely friendly staff.
Lucy couldn't do enough for & made sure our yltwa/coffee was refilled.
Ordered a beautiful birthday cake, it was delicious as always. Ordering from here for 3 years now!
I quite like Patisserie Valerie at the Mall Cribbs Causeway. It’s a nice place to enjoy a spot of lunch or coffee and cake. I have been there before for Afternoon Tea (I bought a voucher through Groupon) and the afternoon tea was lovely. The sandwiches and cakes were all really fresh and tasty. I have also been there for lunch before where I had their Carbonara which was delicious! I would definitely have that again! I would say it’s a little pricey compared to some places but the food is always of good quality and the staff are friendly and welcoming.
I visited on a busy Saturday afternoon with my friend and enjoyed an incredible afternoon tea here! Lucy was our server and she was amazing! She couldn’t have been more helpful! The afternoon tea was really nice so we were slightly gutted we couldn’t finish everything but lucy boxed up our lefts overs and even offered us an extra orange and apple juice in a take away cup to enjoy while we shopped afterwards! Absolutely incredible service ! Will 100% be visiting again!
A lovely place for a coffee & the cakes are amazing . We stopped for lunch here today & as usual it was really good . I ordered Eggs Benedict which are my favourite sadly the poached eggs were overdone too hard no runny yolks ! Bit disappointed today .
We had a great experience at your Cribbs Causeway store. I went in with my husband and we were greeted by a wonderfully friendly manager Alexander who showed us to a table and promptly took our drinks order. Considering how busy was the place when we came in, staff really work hard to give us best service
Overall a great dining experience, and thank you to Alexander and the other lady for making ua feel so welcome.
Will definitely be back!
Visited here for a cream tea (pre lockdown 2) and it was amazing. I had food intolerances and they were more than happy to help with the choice of sandwiches and make changes that were needed to accommodate me. The waitress was very friendly and helpful.
The price was good value for what you get.
The sandwiches, cakes and drinks were amazing.
Service was speedy.
Restaurant was clean and tidy. Good social distancing measures are in place.
Can't wait to visit again when lockdown is finished.
The staff at Patisserie Valerie are amazing, always happy to help. The new menu is great and sandwiches can be gluten free if needed. There is a good range of food to cater to all tastes. And that’s why we eat there so often!!
Had Lucy serving us for afternoon tea. Lovely food. Great service. Fantastic at her job. Asset to the company. Highly recommended.
We come here for an afternoon tea on Wednesday as we had a voucher to use up and it was one of the best services weve had for a while at a restaurant it was a busy lunch and you could see the staff doing there best we got sat down and then attended to a few minutes later where we was explained about the afternoon tea and what came with it and what hot drinks we could choose from we was also asked if there was any allergy requirements which is brilliant in this day in age.
Our afternoon tea followed after about 15 mins and it was absolutely brilliant the waitress danna was absolutely amazing to us on our time here and we would definitely visit again
