My visit to the Station Pilot was overall a pleasant experience, offering good value for the price paid. While it may not have been anything extraordinary, it was more than acceptable for the cost.
Upon arriving, I appreciated the relaxed atmosphere and casual setting. It's worth noting that you have to go to the bar to place your food order, but the service was prompt and efficient. The food was then delivered to our table, which worked well for our group.
A highlight of the visit was the presence of an inflatable bouncy castle on the day we went. This provided entertainment for the children and added a fun and family-friendly element to our dining experience.
I opted for the mixed grill, and specifically requested the steak to be cooked medium. While the steak was slightly more on the rare side, it wasn't a major issue and still had a decent flavor.
Overall, the Station Pilot offers a good dining option without breaking the bank. It might not stand out as an extraordinary dining destination, but for the price paid, the quality of food and the added entertainment for the children make it a worthwhile choice. The best carvery I have ever had! Food was absolutely amazing. Roast potatoes were better than anywhere else, loads of perfectly cooked turkey, soft veggies and beautiful mash potato! I’d honestly say this carvery is far better than Toby carvery!
Today we called in for a drink only. There was a very cheerful, helpful lady serving at the bar. There were some people eating and others enjoying a drink in the sun. The menu looks good with plenty of choice. There are also special deals each day throughout the week. Nice decor inside. Outside in the garden is a bouncy castle for the children.

No matter how busy the bar got, every request was met with a smile, ensuring that each guest had a remarkable experience.
We came for a Sunday dinner as we are coming here for Christmas day. Dinner was amazing, the staff are very welcoming and the kids always love playing with the toys toy have. Thanks again!
Brilliant pub for the family, food was great, kids enjoyed themselves and even had bouncy castles for them to burn some energy off. Service with a smile from a staff member called nikki, lovely lady. Will definitely be returning.
Been meaning to revisit after the shocking first visit when it first opened... And I have to say things have certainly improved in all fronts...
Nice, full menu with lots of choices to cater for all dietary needs. Staff extremely friendly, chatty and helpful.
The whole place looks clean and inviting...
Prices are very reasonable and the special evenings make the offers to good to turn down...

Had meals and drinks here many times now, no issues at all. Staff are amazing and couldn't help us anymore if they tried. All round fantastic place to go.
Great service and friendly from the bar staff and from the waiters and waitress.The food really nice there was a good portion and cooked really well.
We also loved it that it is dog friendly and kids loved it aswel with the play area and bouncy castle it's a lovely set up and happily go there again
As a family of 5 we had a 3 course meal. All of the food was very well presented and tasted delicious. Portion sizes were great, there was plenty of food. We received a friendly welcome when we arrived and all staff were friendly and attentive. The waitress was very polite and helpful. We will definitely be back again!
Regularly pop in here for a drink and a bite to eat. Always like speaking to the locals and the staff are always friendly. Place is clean and a good atmosphere
