Bit of a late review but me and a few lads from ZZOOMM found this place and it’s a bloody gem ! Staff are awesome. Portions are huge. The girl that served me is ace. She’s an asset ! The Donner meat and chips ! Oh yes ! Proper chippy chips too ! Good wraps and great overall experience.
We had a fish special which was bigger than I expected and I couldn't get through all the chips. The small battered fish was lovely and white and chunky. Would definitely come again and the price and the service was very good too! 👍
Both myself and my partner live in Congleton, but when we come over to Crewe and we want decent fish and chips we always go to Neptune's.
Have tried quite a few fish and chip shops in Crewe but by far Neptune's is the best. We've been coming here quite a few times over the last few years, the service and food quality is exceptional👍🏻👍🏻.

Amazing staff always very helpful always happy to help with off menu requests, food is always top notch would recommend everyone to go in and try the cheesy chip wraps which aren’t on the menu when they should be
I had a normal portion of Donor meat and chips, the portion was huge, both donor meat and chips were lovely and perfectly cooked.
The place was very clean and staff very friendly. Will definitely go back when in Crewe

The steak pie was full of steak and the chips were really hot and there were quite a lot of them there was enough to feed 4 -we had a large portion not realiisng how large it was.

Best fish and chips in Crewe by far well worth travelling the extra few miles to get there, we are just outside Shavington and have a local chippy but we travel here as the staff and owner have the biggest smiles and warmest hearts, and their food is by far superior to any we have tried since moving here last year. We have never been disappointed ever. The large fish is just the juiciest tastiest and fattest, the chip portions can feed a whole family and some and their fish bites are by far the best as they have fish in them not like some places where they are all batter! They also have the tastiest chicken and chicken tandoori kebab so much flavour it’s to die for. I don’t really want to mention the onion rings as last time I went they had no stock I’m sure because they are so popular they are not frozen they are fresh onions battered the local restaurants would be doing themselves a favour if they took this on instead of serving you something that’s bought in from some multiple company instead of giving what these guys give you fresh food freshly made yeah it might be deep fried but it’s fresh that speaks volumes. Do yourself a favour and pop in for your supper you won’t be disappointed. If I was closer I would be there more often for sure. Keep up the good work guys you will be rewarded threefold and some. From me thank you thank you thank you ( especially for my surprise portion of onion rings you made my night) you are “simply the best”.
Visiting Crewe and my son recommended Neptune. Portions are VERY generous, and the fish 🐟 was well cooked (no soggy batter). Those serving were polite and engaged in mild banter. Would recommend and will be back when next visiting Crewe.
I was looking for an easy tea and remembered reading good reviews about Neptune. I ordered two large fish and chips and mushy peas and it was just under £15.
It wasn't until I got home that I realised the mistake I'd made, as I opened the two boxes and found the whales inside!!
The fish was absolutely enormous and really chunky. The chips were delicious, best I've tasted in years. Excellent value for money, really impressed.
I'll be back...but for only one portion!!

Great “chippy” in Crewe, I always eat here when I visit. No seating but great to go. The staff was awesome and they took time to explain a few things to a “Yank”
Excellent some of the best chips I've had in years
Got a mixed meat wrap and chips for my tea while working. Wrap was full of meat and presented perfectly, cut into 2 to save me messing around and tasted lovely. Chips were freshly cooked to order and small portion was more than enough. Ladies serving friendly and polite . Great little chippy....thank you
I was working in Crewe and absolutely gutted I only found this place on my last day there. The fish was fresh the chips were amazing and price was cheap for the quality and staff are super friendly. Great little fish and chips highly recommend 5 stars all the way
Made the mistake of ordering a large chips as was used to before we moved and it was enough to feed all 3 of us! Chips are perfect and even put cheese on the value box at request. Was so impressed I brought the Girlfriend from Liverpool down just for the chippy and the girls were amazing! A right good laugh. Deffo our go to local chippy. Thank You
