Been here a few times for food. Both times the food was lovely. It's clean and tidy and the beer garden was really nice to sit in when it was sunny. Great location and great easy parking.
We booked a table at the Duke of Gloucester as a last minute situation and cannot express how happy that has made us.
We booked a table for four and on arrival Adele seated us and then moved us to a better table (even though we expressed we might bother the table next to us).

Attended another meeting. Tea and coffee served by the lovely, smiling Adele. Fabulous service as always.
Didn't eat today as only attending a meeting. Joe (Manager) and staff always look after you.
Our allotment committee use the Duke of Gloucester for our regular meetings. The staff are very accommodating and even provide complimentary coffee and tea. It takes the stress out of organising the meetings as we are guaranteed a good service. Thanks folks!
Wow had a fantastic meal the food was delicious the staff are all so friendly and inviting nothing is to much trouble for them a lovely pub with a nice relaxed atmosphere even did us a surprise happy Anniversary dessert plate made us feel special celebrating are special day so glad we went thank you
Came in to have a meal with my son & friend and Adele went that extra mile for us especially with getting a glass for my son as the capri sun straw went all soggy.

We made a pit stop here on our way somewhere else nearby and had picked it due to location. We were not disappointed. I did my sisters baby shower here and the space was great. The food was even better! We had the buffet choice No2 and the food was just so fresh and delicious. Highly recommend for a private event.
Was pleasantly surprised by the roast beef. Veg that came with it nice although broccoli was a little crunchy but still edible. Cauliflower cheese could have been more cheesy. However in general really lovely. Yorkshire puddings were really good. Will definitely be returning would recommend.
Haven't been in here for a long time. Gave it another try and was pleasantly surprised. The food was good and the service was friendly and efficient. Debbie and Adele looked after us very well.
Generally I am always happy when I visit the Duke of Gloucester but today the Sunday lunch I had was exceptionally good. I enjoyed every mouthful and was pleased I had it made large. I am not a fan of pub Sunday lunches and normally opt for something else off the menu. However in this establishment
Had brilliant meal today..as usual..I had carvery and dave had pie..great ..roulade brilliant pudding .always friendly and one beyond line of duty !! Dave broke sunglasses today so Adele solved it with a pair for both..lovely experience will attach photo when worked our how 😀 sue w

This is the 2nd time I have a been for a Sunday roast at the DOG! Wow amazing service from Adele who sought to my friends dietary requirements and produced a fabulous main course and pudding (all dairy and gluten free). I paid extra to make big the lovely melt in the mouth beef! Will defo come again
