Food was decent, Steak and ale pie was delicious, had jam and coconut sponge with custard for dessert, portion was big enough for two. Service could be better, asked for mustard and was told they didn't have any. Found out after that the carvery has mustard. Staff member didn't tell me or offer to get me some.

Enjoyed a lovely dessert there on Thursday with my friend. Had a cuppa and a mocktail too. I've enjoyed their carvery on numerous occasions as well 😀

Our first time at the Rookery today. Father's day and no reservation, so we weren't sure we would be able to get a table. The staff hosting were so friendly and found us a table straight off. Food was the best carvery we've had. Great selection. Tons of veg to choose from, choice of gammon, turkey, and roast beef. Tried all three and they were generous portions, meat was cooked perfect (I chef myself, it was perfect!). Yorkshire puddings were homemade, giant, and fluffy. Great selection of desserts to choose from, and lots of beverage choices. All staff were knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. Service was very fast, and plates were promptly cleared when finished. Great atmosphere, there were lots of customers but it was still nice and quiet. Carvery and regular menu were both available, and great price point on all food and beverages. Overall great experience, and we made a booking for next week's carvery when we were leaving. Will be back, definitely worth it!

Went for a carvery with family. We all enjoyed our meals. No queue when we went in but quite a queue behind us until another lady started serving at the tills. Prices are ok. One of us didn't want a carvery and opted for gammon and chips and no complaints there iether. Expensive for drinks though, 5 drinks £15.40, only one was alcohol and that was a larger. Cakes, well enough to choose from, very big portions.look delicious, Personally for the price of them I found them disappointing. Very sweet and artificial cream. Service was quite good, tables/cutlery/toilets nice and clean. Pleasant enough.

Spacious and clean family friendly pub with a play area for children. Very reasonable prices for what you get and there is a very popular carvery option. It's not the fanciest place I've ever been to but it's good, filling food that won't destroy your wallet and the dessert portions are generous! Plenty of parking available along with outdoor seating.

Cheap and cheerful carvery, you can't go wrong for what you pay with the food :) the desserts look amazing! Perfect for when we want a sunday dinner but don't have the time to make one. We visited today around 4pm, I didn't get the names of the girl on the door or bar but they were both lovely and Lewis who looked after our section was friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back

Me and a friend visited this evening, it was a bit later on so relatively quiet. We were served straight away at the bar and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Food was great, steak & eggs were cooked perfectly, and my carvery was lovely (very happy there was parsnips!). Will visit again! Thanks
