Highly recommend the hospitality of this pub. We were a large group of 8 adults, 5 children and dogs. We decided last minute (Sunday morning) that we fancied lunch before we headed home. The host was able to accomodate, many resturants that we called could'nt. We had two large tables, one for the a
Turned up wet and cold after a walk across Dartmoor (we cheated and caught the train from Yeoford to miss the last few miles!). Welcome warm, rooms comfortable, dinner good. Recommended stop on the Two Moors Way.
We love The Devonshire Dumpling. Every time we go there the food is amazing and we always get a warm welcome, even if it's been a while since our last visit. Thoroughly recommend a visit here.
Excellent service. Very accommodating with a last minute booking for a large party of us. Food was great and host was very friendly
Excellent food, fantastic service, will be going again
Absolutely brilliant service from arrival to leaving. The food was second to none. The garlic mushrooms were divine and the leek & potato soup was so tasty and piping hot. We will definitely return with family to try the lunch special.
Lovely atmosphere and food. Another great visit back for lunch on Sunday always good food excellent chef and Laura the hostess.
We had been recommended to go to The Devonshire Dumpling and were really pleased we went. Great food , friendly service and well presented place.
Lovely place. Nice food. Very welcoming. Worth a visit Been again for Sunday lunch. Called early Sunday morning and they managed to find us a table for 8. Fabulous food. Great service. Thanks.
Had a lovely lunch here today (30.10.21). The food was absolutely gorgeous, best meal out I've had in ages! Very reasonably priced too. The lady behind the bar was friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend :)
We chose to eat here this evening having seen really good reviews and were so glad we did ! The menu and specials offered great choices . I chose chicken fajitas which were the best I've ever had. My husband chose aromatic duck which was beautifully cooked and presented. We were given a table by the
Very friendly and helpful service. Good range of ales plus some good local cider. Food was also great. Easy parking and access.
We had a really tasty meal here. Happy to amend the menu to suit an awkward child, he left happy and full! I had pie, chips and a bowl of veg and hubby had belly pork. All cooked perfectly and sadly didn't have room for dessert which sounded fab.
Popped in ,on the off chance, for lunch. Really great menu, superb staff, comfy decor and very clean loos. Food was great..piping hot and really good!
We had a lovely stay on our Two Moors Way walk. The pub was just coming out of lockdown and we were the first people to stay for a few months but we were looked after so well and enjoyed a lovely dinner, a well earned local G&T and a very comfy four poster bed. Would recommend.
We went there today. I was not looking forward to it but did not realise it had new owners. The decor was lovely and fresh and the staff were welcoming and very helpful. Lovely food too. We will be back soon. thanks guys =)
We'd been out for the day in Bideford and were on the way back to Exeter where we were staying when the wife decides she needs the ladies. Out of the blue we came across the Devonshire Dumpling. As it was getting on we thought we'd have some dinner. One of the best spontaneous decisions we've made.
Absolutely wonderful, fresh home cooked food. Once discovered, it will become a favourite. The new owners are lovely and very welcoming. You can take dogs in too to some areas.
