I’d never stayed in a pod hotel before so was a little apprehensive but it worked out perfectly and I’d certainly consider again. Access is via a quick and easy lift journey from the arrivals section of the terminal so couldn’t be quicker when arriving off a flight. The welcome from reception was fantastic with a complementary bottle of water and the check in process was completed within seconds and I was within my room in no more than a minute after arriving; fantastic!
The room was small as expected but surprisingly comfortable. The TV at the end of the comfortable bed was a suitable size and worked well, there were loads of electric plugs and small bedside shelf. The bathroom area acted more as a wet room but the shower was pretty decent and toiletries were adequate. Checking out was just as quick as the arrival which was bliss.
Overall it suited my needs very well, but my only issue was the price - you are really paying for the convenience. For the same price there were a number of nice traditional hotels surrounding the airport, so I’d certainly be dissuaded if I was there for anything more than a few hours stopover. However for that purpose it’s great!
Fantastic hotel, outstanding staff. Big thank you to Nathan! I was honestly impressed. After my airline cancelled my flight and put me on one 12 hours later, I was desperate to find somewhere quiet to rest as I was heavily sleep deprived after 3 days of very little sleep and the idea of being in a loud busy airport for 12 more hours destroyed me. Luckily I found YOTEL and even better it was easy to get to, it was in terminal which gave me great peace of mind and didn’t drain my energy more, I was able to speak directly to a member of staff when I called for directions and everything went extremely smoothly. Thank you to Nathan who was able to easily and clearly guide me through directions to the front desk, checked me in quickly and was on hand, friendly and efficient. The rooms are well equipped, clean and quiet- everything I needed. The bed was so comfy too! Couldn’t recommend more.
Our flight to back home was cancelled. We had to stay a day longer at Gatwick Airport. We booked a room at this hotel and it was nice and very clean. The good part is that you get free coffee or tea, and that this hotel is at the airport. You don't have to travel to find another hotel when you are at Gatwick Airport.
