Remarkable family atmosphere, very friendly, enjoyed the experience. More than a tad over normal price. Battered cod was a not quite 5*. Contents a little mushy rather than fall apart flakes. Maybe I ought have waited for 2nd visit (like another reviewer) as it could have been a one-off, it was the same for all the portions bought & I'll likely not be back that way soon.
Hard to rate an atmosphere for a chipshop but the food was superb, the service second to none and so friendly and helpful... Usually they prefer cash payments but as we only had euros in cash, they were happy to take a card payment. My only disappointment with Prizefighters was that we live in Cornwall, too far away to make the our regular chippy. Incidentally, their prices were far less than Cornwall and being so much closer to London a very pleasant surprise.

Previously cod roe was cold in the middle but glad I tried them again.

They catered for our child's birthday party. Transferred the freshly cooked food to our chosen venue, all wrapped up to be kept fresh and warm. Arrived on time. Even thought of wooden forks for the little ones. Everybody was complimenting the food, the portions of chips were MASSIVE! Nice, straight forward people to deal with. Highly recommended for catering.

I have travelled up and down the country looking for the best Fish and Chips shop! I visit Prizefighter Shop and I was taken back from the lovely customer services, cleaness and the Fish π and Chips π was cooked to perfection π I score this lovely shop 10/10 lovely chatting to the owner aswell, hearing about the shop and the story behind the name Prizefighter π

Staff could not have been more helpful. Chips were delicious & the fish was lovely but I wasn't overkeen on the batter. However I would recommend and would definitely use them again.
Been back today (12th May 2022) amd it is under new management. The new owners are very friendly and helpful and the fish and chips are still very good and the best in the area. Definitely go here for your fish and chip takeaway!

Haddock chips mushy peas & curry sauce twice the other night, very tasty, curry sauce was cold but nothing a blast in microwave at home couldn't sort out, fish n chips were nice & hot
