New menu changes are great, had the £30 steak on the bone and it was perfect. But dear but seeing as it was so good I can’t really complain. Served by the nicest girl, she made the meal extra special for us. Even the Chefs came out to see us out! Best food of all the branches
This was an end of half term treat for the kids. Expected it to be a quiet Wednesday, but it was busy with birthdays and celebrations.
Food was tasty with main dishes coming up trump. But our prawn starter was not as tasty or well cooked as expected.
We had the best server in the building, welcoming, full of energy, and always making sure we were well taken care of.
Very well spent our 23rd wedding anniversary. The food was so tasty and well cooked. The team are fantastic, all the time so helpful and they are happy to serve everyone. Amazing atmosphere to bring a desert together with a song for our anniversary. We love so much, look forward for the next visit. Thank you S&W team
Fantastic decor and atmosphere. The staff stay in character and the outside is so pretty. The food is good. The portion size is good and there are lots of options. Their sundaes are amazing. I've visited twice and had: the chicken fajitas, the Kentucky Mac, the biscoff sundae and their Halloween special creepy crawly sundae. All of it was tasty. And the price was around £25 per head with a soft drink (we shared the sundae).
Was really looking forward to coming here after looking at the menu and it definitely didn't disappoint. We came with our daughter son in law and 6 month old granddaughter and was made to feel really welcome.
Fantastic welcoming staff and what a setting. The atmosphere was super. Food was absolutely fantastic , great portion sizes and lovely cocktails. 2 for £12 between 5 and 7 Monday to Friday.
The sharing nachos with chilli were divine as were the racks of ribs. And ice cream sundaes to die for. Prices were fantastic considering the high quality of food served.
Wouldn't hesitate to recommend and will definitely return.
The staff were incredibly lovely, especially to our dog, who got a lot of fuss and attention. The food was amazing - fantastic portions and tasted delicious. I particularly enjoyed their virgin mojitos with passion fruit. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon and even though it was busy, the staff were so attentive and friendly. This is an absolute gem of a place - awesome food, great service and super dog friendly. Definitely will visit again.

Great theme restaurant. Menu is a little on the pricey side but portions are generous and the food is excellent. We visited on a Friday evening and it was very busy but we didn't have to wait long for our food. A great family restaurant and can be noisy, especially if there are a lot of birthdays (I counted 6 while we were there) so not the place for a romantic dinner - for a family or group of friends it's perfect and I can't praise the food enough.

I had an amazing time at Smith and Western, the American Cowboy-themed restaurant, on a Saturday afternoon. From the moment I stepped inside, I was transported to a world of Western charm and hospitality.
The staff was exceptional, providing attentive and friendly service throughout my visit. They made me feel right at home and were always ready to assist with any request.
Now, let's talk about the food – it was outstanding! What impressed me most was the variety they offered, especially their vegan options. I tried some of their vegan dishes, and they were absolutely delicious.
The ambiance was another highlight of my visit. The restaurant's Cowboy theme was executed brilliantly, creating a cozy and immersive atmosphere. The décor, music, and overall vibe added to the authenticity of the experience. I'd rate the ambiance a solid 10/10.
Overall, my visit to Smith and Western was a delightful experience.just one thing it’s Expensive and you can not visit regularly but I can't wait to return for another enjoyable meal and a taste of that wonderful Cowboy spirit!
Food was pretty tasty, but service was quite slow despite the fact that the restaurant was not very busy at all.
Food was quite nice, I had a half rack of ribs with curly fries. They did forget the additional sauce but it was not charged on the final bill. Ribs were a tiny bit dry and not falling off the bone as you expect ribs to be, but they did taste good.
If you really miss the USA, Smith & Western will transport you back to Texas with their decor and country music. The food really hits the spot for American dinner food but the taste is good enough. We had the Oreo milkshake, Mac n Cheese and the blue cheese burger. It's a good place for a visit if you are going to Tailgate Park
A great place to dine out with a lively atmosphere, even if the cowboy outfits are a little corny looking.
The food tastes great, though I felt my steak was a little undercooked. Service was quick and pleasant. I hope to go back one day to try out the other dishes.
Absolutely amazing dining experience.
All the staff we met were very friendly and welcoming, always smiling and attentive even though it was a busy Easter Monday at lunch time! Our waitress Debbie was helpful, offering suggestions, and I overhead her being just as attentive and helpful with customers near us.
The food arrived quickly, and was delicious. You'll definitely leave with a full belly!
The aesthetics for the plates are a nice touch, and of course the decor is the cherry on top. Wherever you look, expect to feel like you've been thrown into the wild west.
And Smith & Western really know how to choose their locations - We've visited Box hill, which has a stunning view close by, but Tilgate park has a fantastic view right from the window or outside seating area.
Very pleased with our visit - Smith & western is ususally our first choice for special occasions, and we think Tilgate is now our first choice for S&W.
Good for a chain restaurant. Food was pleasant. Waiter was friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Shame I didn't get his name. Lovely setting in tilgate Park. Great for families but pricey for some dishes in current climate. Would go back.

Amazing food, great staff and out of this world western theming. Genuinely top tier and high spec western theming. Best I have ever seen in the UK. Food was delicious and plentiful as well. Looking to try all of the Smith & Western's over the course of this year.

The outside terrace is covered from the rain and has a lovely view of the lake
Had a great lunch time at this restaurant and definitely will reccomend to everyone who loves nice BBQ and grill food, ribs, steaks, snacks.....everything is very tasty, well cooked, well served. For big group the best is share plates of course with plenty of various meats and sides. Nachos were so delicious, so became my favourite. Service is great. I like when you are greeted with smile at the entrance and even restaurant was fully booked but we have got a table, thank you for extra effort to find for us table. Special thank you to Debbie, she was super attentive, friendly, open, smiling we had great service, she is amazing.
The restaurant itself nice, decorated as Texas/Wild West style, super cool. Clean, what is important. Music exactly suits the theme of restaurant, country music. For me it's a big point, as I like to be in this atmosphere where everything matched well and style, music all aligned.

Smith and western is a really cool place located at the top of tilgate park.
The place looks great and has a good atmosphere and fun music.
We had some small sides inside of a main course, vegan nachos and cheese and bacon on fries. The nachos tasted good but there was far to many for us.
The cheese and bacon fries were good but were a little dry at the bottom.
