Decided to go to our favourite place to eat - The Crathorne Arms for an impromptu lunch and as always it was great! Sat outside in the sun (sun umbrellas at the table which were ideal) & enjoyed the relaxed ambience that's there every time we visit. Fab lunch menu & thoroughly enjoyed the beef sandwiches with gravy, salad & chips and lasagne.Thank you from The Sandersons - we'll be back again soon! xx

This place has EVERYTHING right. Varied menu, quirky interior yet a vibrant atmosphere... On a Tuesday night... Unheard of. Only stumbled across this by chance and what a gem of a place. The owner must be immensely proud of their creation and rightly so. We had first pie for mains, but I think this is only on the fish of the day for a limited, however if you do get a chance to try it, do! Best fish pie I've ever had in the world! Top class little find! If I could pick 10 stars, I would! Oh and not to forget the service, they are like lightening in here but not to the detriment of the quality of the food or presentation! Thanks for a great opportunity to find a superb little place.

Nothing else comes close. Eugene and Barbara are legendary. The settings, the drinks, the food, the ambiance. Can’t praise this place enough.

Absolutely! Here's a short and sweet review for The Crathorne Arms in Yarm: "The Crathorne Arms is an absolute gem nestled in the heart of Yarm. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with warmth and charm. The ambiance is cozy, the staff are incredibly friendly, and the food is amazing! Whether you're popping in for a pint or enjoying a delicious meal, every visit feels like a delightful escape to the countryside. A must-visit for anyone seeking great food, great company, and a great time.

Think of a flavour, multiply by 10, seems to be the key to the wonderful rich tasting dishes we tried from the Prix Fixe menu. No piddling bits of this and that here, just proper amounts of excellent quality ingredients, perfectly cooked with gusto. The hanger steak was superb though in our opinion the potatoes served with the sea bass should have been cooked until soft enough to eat, but otherwise a great value lunch. Gloriously decadent fin de siecle decor, with abundant mirrors, old photos, twinkly lights, beads etc providing a joyful atmosphere. Service was friendly, accurate and spot on as you might expect. Back soon.

Lovely food and very attentive staff. The cheeseburger was simply divine. 😋 Edit. I've come back to Crathorne and the black pudding starter and the sirloin were brilliant 👏

Was told to try this when I was in the area and got to say its a 5 star from me from the cheese souffle starter prawn cocktail . Chicken main and cheese board afterwards was absolutely delicious.. The place it self was a lovely good old fashioned pub which is hard to find these days with great staff If your in the area give it a try you will not be disappointed..

My family eats here often on this occasion it was to celebrate an occasion that allowed us to bring a cake and decorations for around the table. My only negative is that there was only one vegetarian option (nothing with meat or fish), however, it was very nice and will allow starts to be ordered as mains.

I don't normally get involved in leaving reviews but my experience at the Crathorne arms made me compelled to do so, I cannot recommend this place enough, I can honestly say this was the best meal I have ever had, it was divine, they produce Michelin star food at normal prices, the setting is fantastic and the staff are so professional and attentive, a massive thank you to Aaron the manager, Ashley the supervisor and Dave the chef, keep up the fantastic work and we will be revising very soon👌

Came here for my mother's birthday. Staff were absolutely superb. Even though we didn't say we were there for that, the staff picked up on this and gave me mum a treat at the end of the night. Very touched by that. They also couldn't do enough for us and went out of their way to make us comfortable and happy. Food was excellent if a little pricey and good guest ales from Wensleydale brewery.

Another good evening at the crathorne arms. Fillet stake served with delicious chips, creamed spinach, onion rings, grilled tomato and flat mushroom. Excellent service as always. No wonder this place is buzzing 7pm on a cold Tuesday night.

Cheese souffle amazing, disappointed with the fish pie. Tiny portion and looked so lonely with just a ramakin of garden peas to go with it. Thought it was a little over priced too. Nice friendly staff and lovely warm feeling inside. Nice decor , quite traditional as well.

The Crathorne Arms is a fantastic place, we have travelled up twice from Sheffield to eat here. I'm already thinking about planning a third visit 🙂
