Beyond having the best conversation with Rafael, each plate we ordered was absolutely on point, from flavor, spices, and delight. The plating was eye-catching as well. The family atmosphere and the service were excellent. This will become one of my favorite Lebanese restaurants in Cranford.
We visited this place couple times. I always ordered sandwiches which is very good and my husband had kabab dish. I think their sauce is really good. One time, I ordered coffee and their cup is very cute and unique. The coffee is not my type but my husband liked it.
I like their bag, too. When we pick up some food there, they gave us the food in their logo bag that is really good quality and reusable haha.

My go to Middle Eastern Lebanese restaurant! The grape leaves are out of this world! So tasty and freshly made! I love their chicken kebabs and how they season it! The rice and French fries are cooked to perfection! I’m a regular here, and bring my family here from time to time for dinner. Everyone really enjoyed their meal and they serve a generous quantity of food. The quality is fresh and always on point. I’m so glad I live local and can stop by for dinner anytime I want!
We ordered the old city mix (combo grill for two). Lamb chops and chicken were pretty good. Attentive service.
All was good until we felt a bit rushed to pay the bill. It wasn’t busy. Then when we paid , we were told there’s a 4% surcharge if paid by card. And no surcharge for cash. This is to offset their operating expense. Let me say, this is tacky. If you have issues operating then increase prices as necessary. The surcharge bandwagon is infuriating and makes your business look tacky. I won’t frequent this business in the future. Food was good. But I just don’t think this is the way to treat your customers. Please …. Get off the surcharge bandwagon.
this place is absolutely amazing, this is my second time coming here and I haven't been let down at all. unfortunately, I was too focused on eating and only got a picture of the appetizers. it was so delicious, from the appetizers, to the platters, to the iced mint tea, to the chocolate mousse and labanese coffee. 10/10

Ordered both the Swish Tawook & Spicy Swish Tawook Platter (marinated chicken medallions with the best garlic sauce on the side). BYOB so we were able to enjoy with a nice bottle of white wine. Service was great, got personal tips from the chef himself. Wish I had room for dessert. Not my first or last time at this lovely restaurant.
Been coming here for lunch for half a decade now. Takeout services is always on-time and reliable. Staff is friendly and make the effort to learn the names of regulars. Food is fantastic! Lebanese lamb burger is probably my favorite on the menu, though all of the sandwiches are really quite good, and at a great price for the quality and quantity of food you're getting. Definitely recommend!
This my friends is one of my favorite Mediterranean restaurants in the area!. We started off with spinach pies, baba ghanouj, and yogurt dip which were all fantastic. For the entrees we had the kafta kebab platter and the lamb chop platter. Both platters were delicious and the meats were cooked to perfection, I’m very picky with where I order lamb because not a lot of places know how to make it but this place surely does. The lamb was rich and succulent and packed with flavor and goes perfect with their side of garlic sauce / tahini and hot sauce. The staff is extremely nice and the owner Rafi is a great guy, very friendly atmosphere overall. Please stop by and check them out when you get the chance, 5 stars.
Needed a quick and healthy lunch before headed back home and we are so lucky we picked Old City Cafe & Grill. The owner paid attention to our food restrictions and was able to answer our questions on serving size and provide us recommendations when we couldn’t decide something.
Service was very quick as we were very hungry. Recommend the Dip Sampler to start so you can immediately get something in your stomach! Every dish is impeccably presented and arranged on the platters. Great serving sizes and waiters/waitresses are very attentive, polite and expedient with requests.
Atmosphere is casual. Clean facility and A/C was on which is helpful on a hot sweltering day.

This is definitely one of the best places to eat in Cranford anchored right on a cozy corner. Anything grill is delicious, especially the salmon. Mint tea is invigorating.

Outstanding and beyond. Food, atmosphere, cleanliness and friendly service. The food is a high standard quality, dessert is out of this world, extremely enjoyable. I am a regular customer and i highly recommend this place for outing, pick up, afternoon coffee & dessert and i would rate it as 5+

Delicious food as always! Husband had the grilled chicken platter and I had the lamb chops with Armenian salad. Rice is always flavorful and moist. Staff attentive, though would have liked automatic refills on water. Large screen tv showing ad for California? was annoying though.
