The very best Fish and Chips I have ever had! Also loved the lively South African themed "Braai" night with some cold Pints!!

A small village pub that has the most helpful staff. We booked a table over the phone, and the lady was super helpful. Nice food and drink in a lovely little pub.

Popped in for lunch and were made so so welcome !!!......real ales, great food, interesting friendly pub, absolutely nothing not to like !! The food (fish finger and bacon/brie sandwiches) was so good we both got carried away and didn't save the dog any but Sheaf of Arrows to the rescue with some dog treats. We would like to thank Karen and Gavin for a most pleasant hour or so in their establishment and well done Lord Cranborne, you've saved a little gem !!!!........Geoff and Lisa.

Best pub in Dorset! The owners are so kind and welcoming, the atmosphere is cozy and clean, and the food (especially the sticky toffee pudding) and drinks are the best! You absolutely need to stop in if you’re in cranborne.

OMG just had the best Sunday - Mothers Day lunch with my lovely daughter - the atmosphere, food and dessert are amazing. Katie the barmaid is super professional and the owners are the best. Having been born and raised in Cranborne the Sheaf of Arrows has been my go to every time I return from overseas. This is the best I have ever seen the Sheaf, very tasteful style, cozy and very clean!

Absolutely love this place when we are back there. Food is the best, especially the Sunday lunch. The staff are very helpful, caring and friendly. The manager actually went out of their way to make our family occasion even more enjoyable, which was a lovely added bonus. Highly recommend this place!! Thank you again for making our visits always extra special and can't wait for the next time.

Cracking pub in Cranbourne village, friendly atmosphere, good choice of drinks and food. We stopped off for dinner after a hard day's graft, we were greeted with a friendly welcome and fed some delicious food. If you're in the area this place is definitely worth a visit. Keep it up guys 👍

Recently stayed for a couple of nights, the accommodation was lovely, clean and really comfy. Breakfast and dinner I had was delicious and can tell all home cooked. Great atmosphere, and staff/owners could not be more welcoming and helpful. Will be returning and highly recommend.

A rare country pub, with traditional food. The Sheaf of Arrows is certainly a pub for local folk. Having said that, a warm welcome and smiles are freely given upon entry. In a day of of pubs offering more up market menus, it was refreshing to see traditional pub food. Cajun beef was my choice for this evening, which was delightfully presented. Taste wise, I felt it was missing a bit of oomf, a tad more spice and sauce would of been appreciated. Having said that, the value was certainly unbeatable. The menu as a whole, offerers a wide variety of dishes, although could be considered limiting for vegetarians. If you’re vegan, I’d say your choice is even more limited. What does make for a welcome change is the ability to bring pets in. This may not be for everyone, but it’s lovely to see our 4 legged friends being allowed in. The drinks menu, offers a great variety of local ales and a relatively broad choice of wines. The Sixpenny Gold is a personal favourite of mine. Cranborne is a relatively affluent area and offers a great choice of pubs or restaurants. There really is something for everyone. The decor of the pub is clean, although some of the furniture felt a bit tired. A lick of varnish wouldn’t go amiss.

Great pub with reasonably priced food and lovely staff. Food is excellent too. I love the grilled halloumi salad here I have it with cheesy garlic bread.

A great village pub, fab food and good ales. We used to come to this pub a few years back on our walks. To hear it was back open and under new ownership was great news. The place looks really cosy and inviting, quite an improvement on how it was before. The landlord and landlady were really nice, nothing was too much trouble and they definitely have a real passion about the pub. The ploughman’s was massive and all very fresh. Loved the local beers too. Great pub!

The Sheaf of Arrows in Cranbourne was recommended to us by a group of friends who had a meal there a few weeks back. We definitely were not disappointed. Recently taken over, the new owners have done a wonderful job of the place and were really friendly and inviting. I am glad we booked as it was very busy. We had their traditional Sunday roast, the beef was really tasty and the Yorkshire's were huge. We didn't have any room for pudding but from what we could see they also looked good. Maybe next time! Thank you Sheaf of Arrows, you certainly get our recommendation. Look forward to visiting again soon.
