This cracking pub is only a 5 minute walk from premier inn/beefeater Gosforth/ Cramlington. Typical Beefeater no atmosphere no sky. So had to look to see what was around. Took a wee walk down. First impressions clean tidy. People sitting around enjoying themselves and relaxing. Bar staff absolutely lovely. Music karaoke available. Football on multiple screens.
Soon welcoming and when in area again will definitely be returning. Thanks for welcoming me appreciated.

Have been coming here every Sunday and through the week since summer 2014. We always book for Sundays to guarantee a table, never have to If going through the week. Food is excellent and great value for money. Carvery on Sunday only...and a great choice menu for those who want something different. Staff excellent always helpful and so cheerful and friendly😉There's also free WiFi.
Today roast beef carvery as good as ever.
Saturday 13 May 2017. Hubby n I had lunch here and we both opted for Steak pie, peas n homemade chips it was beautiful😋 Sat in the bar watching live footie as there was a kiddies birthday disco in the restaurant area and were they having a good time😄

Fri 26 Jan 2018. Had steak pie homemade chips n peas today but disappointed as there were a few lumps of fat and a large piece of grizzle in mine😩...a one-off I hope! Dessert of salted caramel n chocolate brownie fudge cake was very sickly but hubby enjoyed his apple pie. It was👍for him and a👎for me today.

First visit but certainly wont be my last. We were made to feel very welcome. The staff were warm and friendly. The food was amazing and home cooked.
Was a organisation birthday party. Place had plenty off private space,food, drinks all good,bar staff were friendly and helpful. No problems what so ever.. champion.
Class pub! I was working up in Blyth for 4 months and stayed near here. Staff very welcoming, and the locals too.
Great pub to Get Battered in, and I did plenty of times.
Food was good as well, but I liked the beer more 👍🍻🍻
We had to come all the way from Coventry to find chips that tasted like my Nan's did! Thanks
First time in the pub, will definitely be back next weekend, possibly try the grub see what is like. Watch this space.
Fab local pub serving lovely food at reasonable prices. Visited for live music with Lauren Lowes and had a great night.

Monday night is all main meals only £5.00 each. The food is very good and the service is quick. All the staff are very friendly and there is a lovely atmosphere. Each day has a different offer and the quality of of the food is fresh and tasty. This is not microwave rubbery food and well worth giving them a try. See the menu on the Internet.

Went with the family (6) on Friday night, for a meal. Good atmosphere and real friendly staff (Steve??) served us, and the food could only be described as fantastic. Safe Play area for the kids at the rear of the pub and we will be back......can't recommend the place highly enough. 5 Stars.

Fantastic staff & lovely food. Called in as we were near by visiting family & didn't have time to go too far, we really weren't expecting much but we were pleasantly suprised, the rear garden was fantastic our young granddaughter played so happily, the young blonde girl serving was so helpful, nothing was too much for her & the food was so nice. There were 9 of us & they were so accommodating, the young girl sat us in the garden & guided us through the process with all of the covid rules, it was a fantastic few hours that we really weren't expecting. I would highly recommend a visit!
Sunday Carvery was delicious, couldn't fault a thing about it, meat was lovely, perfect crispy roasties, big fluffy Yorkshire puds, fresh veg, cauliflower cheese and rich tasty gravy, all for a great price. Very welcoming and clean. Fast efficient service. We will be back!
We had Xmas lunch can't fault the food it was fantastic . The staff never stopped lovely homely pub I would highly recommend it and thinking of booking again for next year .
We had our lunch there today , we've been many times and the food is always brilliant, as are all the staff. My husband had the mixed grill and I had the scampi, all cooked lovely. Also fudge cake and ice cream and fudge cake with squirty cream for hubby. Well satisfied again. Boddingtons beer and Doom bar also went down well so will be back soon.
