Called in today for Sunday lunch and was amazed. Lovely warm welcome and delicious homemade traditional food, very reasonably priced. Under new ownership so it has been refurbished. Very cosy with a lovely real fire, just what you want on a cold Sunday afternoon. A real gem of a place we will be back. Thank you.

We have eaten at this pub three times this week as it was so convenient to our B&B. It turned out to be such a gem. The menu is varied, well priced and seasonal. We had quite a range of meals and all were very good to excellent. The staff were engaging and attentive. The atmosphere was good. Well worth a visit

Very well run pub, accomodation and dining room. This is a pub dating back centuries so as a former coaching inn it is on the main road but behind the pub is a pretty area of brooks, stone houses and tranquility. Easy access to a wonderful moors walk with glorious views as well. Superb lunch here and a warm, clean, comfortable room for an overnight stay. Kind and efficient team. Highly recommended. Easy to get to if using public transport...bus 72 from Skipton which could also take you on to Grassington should you wish...hourly bus but a short day with a gap in the service for the driver's lunch break...all rather civilised!!

Had a lovely overnight stay here. The owner was really welcoming. The bedroom was clean with lovely comfortably bed linen & fluffy towels. Restaurant was fairly busy for a midweek. Nice atmosphere. Our evening meal was fab! Really tasty ingredients & perfectly cooked. Local beers & gin aswell! Breakfast next day was also fab! Lovely local produce! Great english cooked breakfast & Eggs Benedict. Cannot fault the place & will definitely return again. Great spot for exploring Malham

The friendliest ‘dog friendly’ pub I’ve been in. All were greeted by I assume the manager to individually welcome them and offer the some meaty treats, chunks of beef. Really welcoming, thank you ☺️

Stayed here on a one nighter for our anniversary. The owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming when we arrived. We spent a few hours in the open fired guest lounge before taking our table for evening dinner. The food and wine was superb, the service friendly and professional, with recommendations and help with any dietary needs. Breakfast again was a fantastic, delicious meal, chosen from a wide and varied menu of options. A thoroughly enjoyable break, made so by our hosts.

Stopped by for a Sunday roast as we were passing, not planned but a real little gem, glad we did. Quite expensive but turned out worth it, you get what you pay for. One of the best roasts I've had out. Lovely little beer garden to the rear with loads of home grown veg and herbs growing. Plenty of parking and friendly service to boot.

We dropped in at the Devonshire for lunch and were really impressed with the friendliness of the owner, lack of loud background music and variety on the menu. We had "small" plates but didn't leave hungry. It's so good to find a lovely, traditional dales pub which serves such good, locally sourced food at such reasonable prices. We're looking forward to returning soon!

We visited this lovely, cosy old pub every evening when staying in Cracoe with friends for a long weekend. We had meals on 2 nights and all agreed that the food was absolutely excellent. Even the veggie was happy. The owners couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful, and the dog was very friendly too. Hope to return before too long.
