Back in the I.O.W. again this year. Some of the places from last year have gone down hill, so we thought we'd try some new ones. What a find. Beautiful food, the wife said it was the tastiest veggie burger she'd ever had and can vouch for the crispy chicken. Nice staff too. We'll be back.

Nice pub with restaurant and plenty of seating. There is a separate seating area if you want to dine there rather than just drink and have some snacks. Staff are friendly and service was good. Food was not bad too.

Had a lovely meal last night. I have a mobility problem; despite it being quiz night and very busy the 2 members of staff who dealt with us went out of their way to sort out a table, necessitating moving furniture etc and generally making sure my wife and I were comfortable. Thanks ladies (you know who you are) for all your help, you made a difference.

What lovely food. Pier View was always a great pub but now the food is simply excellent. Go for the pie of the day....

It's ok to be honest, food good but I found it quite expensive especially the desserts, £8 pound for a small piece of cake and 1 scoop of ice cream is a bit much, so I wouldn't bother. We did not pay for the desserts which was very nice, as the waiter got my order wrong, so had to wait for a fresh meal, so my husband sat eating on his own. I did say to the waiter if he had of wrote down our order he wouldn't of got it wrong, as he said it was his fault, but then asked me quite obnoxiously "do you want your meal or not". I felt like saying, no I'll just go without shall I, but I kept my calm and said yes please. Maybe he was a bit put off that I told him how to do his job.

Popped in for a quick bite to eat, the vegan cauliflower bites were so so good. Slight confusion on the menu as there are 2 dishes called cauliflower bites, 1 under baguettes and another under small bites. So we thought we were ordering a baguette but we were served the small plate/side version instead! However, the dish was delicious & would highly recommend. We were even given a side of chips as an apology! We were told the waitress who took our order was new, hence the menu mishap (although don’t blame her as it would be confusing for anyone!) she was very friendly & welcoming.

Often go to this pub in Cowes High Street. It has a separate dining area. Staff always welcoming, food good with a mix of classics plus specials of the day which includes an interesting sharing board. Had a great Sunday lunch there. Would recommend. Sports shown in the bar area.

I probably shouldn't be writing this awfully positive review as it might irritate them but I must say that the service was amazing. Super friendly bartender and the gent that brought our food was very attentive. It's a really solid pub and I recommend a visit for beer and food. I had two meals from the daily specials (I was starving) and both were excellent. Colleague of mine swears by their homemade lasagna and apparently compares it to his own recepie. Try it yourself!

Came in for food, was not disappointed. Goats cheese was delicious and the burger was great too. Really lovely staff which makes all the difference. Would definitely recommend and come back!

We were looking for a place to have lunch, and some of the other venues we looked at were not inspiring us. After reading the menu in the window of the Pier View, we walked in and were greeted by Chelsea. We both opted for different chicken dishes and shared a bottle of wine. People came and went, but we sat there for some time just enjoying the moment. This was definitely a good choice.

Favourite pub in Cowes, not as good as it used to be when Sue ran it but still good. Shame they took down all the sailing memorabilia.

A really lovely evening out with family. There was a good selection on the menu to choose from and chef's specials. A good amount of food also. Friendly staff when taking order, serving and hand for any questions. Definitely recommend for a meal out.
