We had a wonderful evening at the Vectis tavern after a brilliant week sailing. Good music and flowing drinks. I realised I had left my jumper behind the next day and the tavern kindly posted it to my home address the next day !! Lovely
A great little pub, atmosphere depends on what night you go but Karaoke on a Thursday is always popular and they often have live music
We came in to watch the 6 Nations after a days sailing. Other yachts had the same idea.
Beer was good and at half time bowls of crisps and nibbles came out. What more can you ask for!
Definitely worth a visit if you are thirsty.
Great venue…. But. Ok. All avenues of life are here.
Banging little place, watching the ruggers. England getting slapped. Then get some free snacks on the table, first class old school stuff.
Great atmosphere and the bouncers were top notch! Drinks were reasonably priced. Overall had a good night out
First time in the Isle of Wight, came for the weekend and found this absolute gem.
Welcoming, friendly, warm, attentive staff. Plenty of seating and tables inside and out, every drink myself and my party asked for, they had and we are quite a varied bunch, some might say awkward but nothing was too much trouble for the Vectis Tavern.
Great location and they even had ghd's in the ladies toilet!!!!
Felt very comfortable here and if I come back to the Isle of Wight in the future, this will be top of my list to revisit
Many words could be used to describe just how good this tavern is. But it is the friendliness and kindness of Richard and his charming mum, that keeps you wanting to return again and again! A great place to soak up the laid back vibe of cowes . Catering for a great mix of customers, with live music nights, jukebox and pool table. A great time to be had by all is assured. ( Thanks for the wonderful cocktails!!) Hope to see you again soon.
Love

Oh yeah, I recognise the photo; we did go here at an ungodly hour last Saturday night. The place was still rocking and they let us in. I was wearing red trousers, a blue and white striped shirt, a blazer, arm bands and swimming goggles. Apparently that was perfectly normal to everyone except one pretty girl who said 'what are those?' I said 'beer goggles'. I put them over my eyes and told her she looked a lot better. Luckily she found that funny. We all had a good laugh, from what I remember 🤓
Brilliant little pub. Heart and soul of Cowes. You can purchase VIP member discount cards too, which makes this one of the cheapest places to drink in the town. Also, they put on live music, have a pool table and is a genuinely enjoyable place to go for a pint. I recommend the Brain Hemorrhage shots.
Actually I disagree with the comment relating to the door operators they are the best I have encountered frendly very nice persons
Love coming back here. They close very late making us enjoy the evening.
Katie is an absolute gem in this fantastic pub
So friendly, so much choice, great space
Very lively Kareoke bar - two real ales on tap - Kate is best barmaid on the Island
Lovley pub Dan Chandler and Jamie the security was so kind and amazing, best security I’ve met in the island so far!
