Very friendly and "real" staff. About as far from a fake chain restaurant as you can get. Menu is varied and of very high quality. Unpretentious high quality small restaurant. Well worth a visit.

We chose this restaurant because it has plenty of vegetarian choices and some unusual options. Our main courses were really tasty and the portions were generous - we had the Haloumi and Asparagus Pad Thai, and the Cauliflower and Brussel Sprout Crepes. On the down side much of the asparagus in the Pad Thai was chewy and inedible. When I let the staff member know about this I got a slightly defensive response of 'you never can tell, I bought some tangerines which looked good the other day but they didn't taste good'. You can test the tenderness of asparagus whilst cooking it so this wasn't the best excuse. I ordered the creme brulee for dessert and it wasn't good - hot at the top, cold at the bottom and very eggy tasting. Service is slow - we waited 30 minutes for our mains and at that point we were the only customers in the restaurant. Later customers were told it would be a 30-40 minute wait. Overall it was good though and there were other main courses I would go back to try. The prices are very reasonable.

What a lovely 'red' suprise as we were hungry, new to the island and need to send our friend off to ferry after dinner! The little germs with 1 waiter and few table offers excellent Brisith cuisine, especially fish, dont miss it ;)

Food is lovely and fresh, great location right in Cowes high street near the sea. Friendly service, the building is historical (we were told about some of its history by the staff).

we order pork chop, eye rib steak, both are good. Staff is warm hearted. But, pork with red wine, I think, is sort of strangeous.

The food was lovely, tasted amazing and was fresh. There was a bit of a wait for it but they did say this upfront and was definitely worth it for freshly cooked food. My only gripe, hence the missing star was the amount of balsamic vinegar on the salmon, was a bit much but not a big issue.

Exceptionally hospitality and food prepared and served by the most friendly, family-team. Our party of six was part of a RYA training course staying in Cowes for only one night. Our group ordered six different starters and six different mains each served in generous portions and top quality and taste. The ladies serving us (mother and daughter) took extra effort to explain the menu and accommodate all our dietary requirements (one of our group was celeriac) or serving choices (e.g. replacing ingredients of a dish to suit individual taste). A real gem to the crown of a beautiful place.

We had an amazing meal here. I had the red mullet & mussels & hubby had the Pork Belly. I would certainly recommend both The food was delicious! The staff were very attentive and made an extra effort making our desserts special for our 10th wedding anniversary.

Lovely friendly staff, good size portions. Amazing menu and a very good varied choice not just all the old favourites. Definately the best dinner we have eaten this visit.
