Popped in on the way to Cardiff airport before we returned to Scotland , lovely scenery , made so welcome by all staff, followed by lovely meals, prices were good , highly recommend it
This is our local, and we're lucky to have it. It's friendly and welcoming, run by lovely people and serving nice proper pub food. With decent country pubs on the wane, this lovely place remains a gem. Great in the summer, but actually better in the autumn and winter with a cosy fire and pint of ale.
Fabulous food, great beers, friendly helpful staff who always acknowledge you. We have eaten here several times over the past few months and it never disappoints! Lovely country pub

The customer service and food is second to none. This is our favourite place to visit for a meal. The staff are all very helpful and polite. The food is always of a very standard.
Superb Sunday lunch yesterday with the family. Excellent, quality food (vegetables tasted as they should taste, awesome gravy and the beef was top class). Excellent service and great atmosphere. We'll definitely be back!!

We went to the Red Fox Inn for Sunday lunch. The meal was absolutely stunning and the service was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful even though they were extremely busy. We will definitely be back!

Many trips here over the years. Always delicious food and staff go out of their way to create a friendly and welcoming visit. Such a cosy, homely pub. Easily my favourite in South Wales.
Super freshly cooked food with a lovely friendly atmosphere, you're the best kept secret! We'll be back for more Xx

Top Sunday dinner
Service is fab, my 7/8 time here and it just gets better everytime. Very welcoming environment
What a gem of a find! Lovely looking pub (exterior and interior). We received a warm and friendly welcome, bar maid can't help you enough! Good choice of drinks and food. We had a basket meal - burger and chips- delicious! And plentiful too. Can't wait to return 👍🏻
Oldy, worldly pub...big fireplace, stone walls and lovely old furniture!! Didn't have food this trip...only a drink...but will be back to try the food!!very friendly staff...I think the owner brought ours+another table plates of roast potatoes, cut up Yorkshire puddings and gravy to nibble on(extras left from the Sunday lunch)!dog friendly...outside seating definitely in the front...not sure if a beer garden in the back!!Will definitely be back!!
The Fox is a lovely pub and well-decorated. The new owners have done a lovely job doing the place up. It is a lovely village pub and is well-supported by the locals. The place is a little loud and difficult to have a conversation with the people you are with because it is so loud in there. The food was wonderful and the service was good. The food was a little bit slow coming out of the kitchen, but worth the wait. Not a place we will go back to soon as it was just a little bit too loud, but I suppose it is good for the pub to be busy. It was a lovely atmosphere and a very clean environment. It has a lovely log burner in the restaurant side of the pub which does give off plenty of heat. If you haven't been there under the new owners it is well worth a visit.
The only disappointment on the night was an idiot that thought they could park their car where ever they wanted and blocked the entrance to the pub car park, an inconsiderate person that should not have a driving licence, it stopped people entering or leaving the place for a good 15 minutes. This, by the way, was not the pub's fault just a very very inconsiderate person who obviously cannot drive properly or park properly.
Third time this year that we have visited this pub as we love it here and the food has been pretty good. This time we came for Sunday Lunch. I chose the lamb which was the most expensive on the menu at £21 - loads of beautifully cooked veg but an absolutely tiny portion of meat which was really disappointing. My husband had the beef which looked much better value at around £17, plenty of slices.
The staff are always most welcoming but this time my food was a let down ☹️
Stunning food and fantastic service! Will definitely return :)
First day back and what a fantastic pub it is! Great beers, friendly staff and even the trial run pie and chips were exactly what we needed, sat next to log the fire after a day in the cold. Will be back with friends and family, highly recommend!
Vibrant on a Saturday night. Staff were very busy and not all our meals arrived at same time but that's the price you pay when a pub is buzzing with the sound of voices and live music. Highly recommended, will deffinitely be back next time we are out walking in the Penllyn area.
Absolutely lovely. Welcoming host when we arrived. Happy and knowledgeable. Lovely front of housr. Happy, young waiter who knew his stuff on wines. Highly recommend this beautiful, village pub/restaurant.
Lovely peaceful please, great fish and chips , great service
We had a lovely evening with our 20 month old, and while it can be difficult enjoying a meal with a toddler, the staff made us feel right at home and well looked after. The food was delicious especially the tempura prawns and the creamy lemon linguini. The chef
was able to customise our toddler’s meal too to something we knew she would like. There’s a lovely cosy atmosphere and we can’t wait to come back.
